Long-Distance Lovers was a short but spicy contemporary romance that engaged me from the beginning with an in depth storyline and wonderful and caring characters – except for Rachel. Tim and Jenna were two lost souls that gravitated to each other from the start. Jenna’s horrible upbringing and family life formed her just as Tim’s close-knit family and lifelong friends made him the person he is. Watching them become friends and being so supportive of each other was heartwarming. Their relationship grew realistically and it was wonderful to watch them each let their barriers down but also want to do both everyday and special things for the other. There were family and friends, work, happiness and tears, laughter, friendship, feel good feelings, romance and ultimately love. The ending gave wonderful closure along with a nice happily ever after. I would love to read other books by Booth and Stivali and meet up with Tim and Jenna in future books that had Ethan, Natalie, Gavin and Phillip, Janey and Lucy, or Melinda at its center (hint, hint).
I have not read books by Booth before but will add her to my list of authors to look for. I have read several of Stivali’s books and always enjoyed them and will add some of her other books to my TBR pile.
Favorite Quote: “No, it’s everything,” she paused, her voice cracking. “I can’t remember the last time anyone did anything to take care of me.
