Longanimity: A Disposition to Bear Injuries Patiently

I'm not a reader but I could NOT put this book down.It was unbelievable how as I was reading I could see in my minds eye, the kids hiding, playing--espically Lacey--.I could feel the pain and the fear of the mom, and espically Rob,,now I understand the title and the masks on the cover...I espically liked the letter Rob wrote--on pg. 94, I had to read it over and over...FANTASTIC BOOK!!

Longanimity: A Disposition to Bear Injuries Patiently

This was one of the best stories I've ever read,,,,fast moving,I couldn't put it down until I finished reading it..This book should be made into a movie...... It made me cry, it made me angry, it made me feel sorry for Rob. At the end it made me glad that he got what he deserved, but then it made me sad that he didn't even know what he had 'done wrong'.The emotions are so powerful that I could actually see the characters moving in my mind's eye...Paice is a very gifted writer !!!

A fact fill probable and powerful account of a'disfunctional family'

I had the opportunity to meet the author and she graciously shared her talents with me by putting me intouch with this book. I read it with an open mind and realized that I know some of those people she writes about. It brought flashbacks in my life, but she took it further than I would have guessed. An outstanding ending and couldn't wait to see what was coming next Thanks, Mary. Can't wait to read more.

Longanimity: A Disposition to Bear Injuries Patiently

First of all let me tell you I do not like to read, but I could not put this book down.I had to know what happened next to Rob and his journey thru life.I read the book in two days, quite an accomplishment for me.What an emotional roller-coaster!Mary really did a fantastic job of holding my interest and at the same time informing me of the tradgety that happens with child abuse. It makes me want to take a stand to help these innocent children who deserve a healthy chance at life.Thank you,Mary!

Longanimity: A Disposition to Bear Injuries Patiently

I thought it was very deep, and it hit alot of the points teenagers and young people are dealing with today, then affects you later in life. I thought the storyline fit the meaning very well.

    MICHAEL DOUGLAS AS 'ROB'

This book should be mandatory readding by ALL adults and children who live with abusive people. All 5 of my sences and every emotion I have was effected by this powerful book, that I read in one day!! This book should be made into a movie with Michael Douglas as 'Rob.' I can't wait to read the next book Paice writes, she definately has a talent for taking the reader on a journey, a very powerful journey. I was shocked at the surprise ending!! Definately a page turner!!

    Not very good at all

I know this book has received rave reviews. Some of these reviews are from professionals I suppose. I just get the feeling that the book is a very amateurish attempt at serious writing. Check it out first from your local library if possible, and then go on ahead and make your decision if you want to purchase.

    Continuing Dysfunction

A very well done portrayal of unresolved childhood issues and how they can be carried throughout life and into another generation. Strongly recommended for anyone in the mental health profession, an ACOA, or anyone in recovery.
