I am almosted embarrassed to admit that I have read several of these serial type westerns and although Louis L'amour they are not they can be entertaining. Usaully the the bad guys are atleast somewhat interesting and the main character is the John Wayne hero type who shoots straight and sweeps the ladies off their feet. Unfortunately in this book the main character comes off as an ignorant hick and the romantic scences are a little bizarre. I would not reccommend this book to someone wanting to read a classic western, but if you are looking for an easy cheesy short read to kill an afternoon this might be the book for you.
