Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
Boxes, paper bags, egg cartons and plastic bottles transform into toys and games (with a little help from readers) in Look What You Can Do with Dozens of Household Items! ed. by Kathy Ross. The spiral-bound volume contains eight (48-page) books in one, and each offers clear, concise instructions, photographs and an index. The paper-over-board jacket gives the collection a notebook feel.
Children's Literature
This giant, ring bound, craft delight is a compilation of several smaller books about children's crafts. All the crafts are made from items found in our homes. You will look at every box, paper tube, and egg carton with more appreciation. It is the perfect recycling tool. There are sections for boxes, paper bags, tubes, paper plates, egg cartons, craft sticks, newspapers and magazines, and plastic bottles. I'm anxious to try the tube tea set for my little granddaughter who is not quite ready for china yet, another use for those oatmeal cartons. There are games to make for those lazy days of summer, projects for any holiday, and ideas that would make many school projects into that A+ category. The Notebook House would be a perfect companion on a long automobile or plane trip. It is an invaluable craft book. Our local day care center will love it. 2002, Boyds Mills Press,
