Overview

Poor Ronny Carter! Illegitimate son of Crazy Cat Carter, the dirtiest female wrestler on the professional circuit whose boyfriend wears girls' clothes and goes by the name of Cynthia.
Ronnie never had a birth certificate, never went to school, was taught to read and write by Mum's boozy chums, and educated himself from the books in the local free library, newest of which was 150 years old.
Ronny has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
When Mum gets sent down or six months (assault and battery), Ronny tries to feed Cynthia and himself by practical if not moral means. (Ronnie was never taught morals.)
Cynthia runs off to Rabat and Ronny is sent to get him back. (We here discover how to get a passport without a birth certificate.)
An unexpected death puts Ronny in the hands of the police, where he looses his money and is deported to Vienna.
In Vienna he starts raising money by whatever means comes to mind. He rather fancies fraud.
Sent to Yugoslavia on a errand for a crook, he gets mixed up in murder and is deported back to Vienna. The Austrian police deport him to Britain.
Back in Britain Ronny finds himself in the most serious trouble yet. Oh, wow, yes.
Poor Ronny!
Read on, brace yourself and read on.

Meet the Author

The problem with e-book servers, from an author's point of view, is the lack of strict classification. My own e-novels are on Smashwords because I do not like Amazon's business principles, but here a similar condition applies - there are not enough classes to choose from. (I absolutely loathe being classed in the so-called 'adult' fiction category with the present gush of badly written essays about peculiarly sexed zombies and vampires.)I happen to enjoy writing in different styles, in different periods, with different plots, characters and styles and points of view. Sometimes I choose as a protagonist a tough older man battling fate, at other times a teenage girl awakening in response to developing adulthood: none of this a clever way of marketing books, but it is what pleases me to write; and all of it requiring one hell of a lot of research, which of course is also a pleasure.I have had satisfaction in portraying decent love; have enjoyed taking the p*ss out of pornography; and have earned deep pleasure in tracing the development of a thieving youth into an honest man. (Something which paralleled my own development from a mindless lout fortunately presented with a clear choice of futures.)I like to have a love theme running through every work, but these vary from delicate young first love to older characters discovering something wonderful after having given up hope of finding it.These cannot be accurately classed under the simplistic system in use.I would appreciate suggestions, So, perhaps, might the e-book retailers.
