Overview

Praised for its "cutting-edge dialogue, intriguing characters, and a spicy storyline,"* Electa Rome Parks's The Ties That Bind introduced a savagely honest look at modern romance. Now, in a back-to-back publishing event, Parks returns with her next novel of love and friendship and the betrayals of both-some forgiven, some never forgotten.

It's been five years since they trusted one another-and betrayed one another- only as friends and lovers could. Beautiful Mia, getting a second chance at love. Christian, who gave up his player card for the one woman he's not sure he can trust. And Brice, as irresistibly bad as ever. One woman can tame him-if he'd give her the chance: Kree, innocent but underestimated, and looking for the kind of passion that can change a life. When she finds it, it's going to come with a price. Sometimes, it doesn't take a lot to tear apart friends like these. All it takes is love.

Oh my gosh! I could not put this book down. I was hooked from the start to the end. Brice was the typical male who wanted his woman to whatever he wanted, when he wanted. Kree was young and caught up in his world. If only we could see the ugly in people before we start dating them. Christian seemed to be a sweetheart who his heart and feelings on his sleeve. Mia, Mia, Mia, poor thing was just lost. She believed in Christians love for her but she was still holding on to what Brice did to her. All in all this book was wonderful and i'm heading to the bookstore now to get The Ties That Bind.

WHAT A POWERFUL BOOK. THIS BOOK WAS A JOY TO READ. I COULD NOT, AND DID NOT, PUT THIS BOOK DOWN UNTIL I WAS FINISHED. WHERE OH WHERE CAN I FIND A MAN LIKE CHRISTIAN. MIA HAS LOST HER MIND, WHY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH WOULD YOU LAY BACK WITH A MONSTER, THAT WIPED THE FLOOR UP WITH YOUR BEHIND? BRICE WAS NOTHING BUT A TROUBLE MAKER. I DON'T THINK HE EVEN LOVED MIA. BUT YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK. I AM SO SORRY I DID NOT READ THE TIES THAT BIND. BUT YOU CAN REST ASURE I WILL.

Let me start by saying, I read this book within 48 hours. I enjoyed it and found it hard to put down. I was angry, confused, and cried about and for the characters. I related to these women totally although I've never been as physically abused as them. It is a good read. I look forward to reading more from Mr. Parks.

After the near fatal incident five years ago, Mia, Brice, and Christian are back and the connection is even more complicated! Loose Ends, by Electa Rome Parks continues the memorable saga from her debut novel, The Ties That Bind, but this time with the determination of closure. While still suffering internally from the mental, emotional, and physical damage Brice forced upon her, Mia is now trying to lead a fulfilled life with her new husband, Christian and daughter, Lyric. Her heart is completely devoted to Christian, but temptation takes a toll, placing her close to a position of total destruction. Christian yearns for the friendship and brotherly love that has subsided between him and Brice years ago. He knows how Mia feels about Brice and is willing to continue life with this void until receiving a letter requesting a meeting with his long lost friend. Christian decides to persuade Mia to meet with Brice and finally put an end to their past. There is only one thing, are Brice's intentions truly admirable like he says? Controlling demands are only a few things Kree has to deal with until she comes face-to-face with a woman who could be her twin. Left in the dark for years about her husband Brice's past, Kree is determined to keep her family together, even if she has to befriend his ex-wife. Taking readers through a realistic tale filled with marital compromises, betrayal, and controversy, Loose Ends opens up a multitude of choices, leaving the readers to second guess their own decisions if placed in similar situations.

I Really Enjoyed Every Page Of This Book. Not A boring Moment With This One.The Character "BRICE" In This Story Was A Real Trip..He Would Have Made A great "Prision Warden, Because Of ALL of Demanding Orders That He Give His Wife, I felt Really Sorry for Kree..Brice was A Real Control freak, Then There Was his Ex wife, Mia, Whos now Married To His Best Friend But She Hasnt Totally Gotten Him Out Of Her System. Everytime Hes In Her Present, She Gets weak To The Bone..Lets Not Forget The Mr. Brice Beats& Abuses His Woman Too.Poor Kree Gets "The beatdown" of her Life Everytime She Does Something That Brice Doesnt Like.Things Just Had To Be His Way at All Times Or Else...No Wonder Mia Got Rid Of him When She Did..Even Though He Abused Her During The Time They Were Married, It Didnt Stop Her From wanting Him Sexually..Christain Who Is Mias Husband Was A wondeful Man Who Loved His wife With Every He Had..The Ending Of This Book Gets Really "Juicy, I wont Tell...
