This is an easy read, being written in play format; and the plays are not long. Lorca is good at reflecting the feelings of others. He understands their worries, agonies, anger, tenderness, etc. However, he is of a pessimistic dark nature, and it shows in the events of his plays. He is also a poet and can describe things beautifully. His plays take place in Spain in the 1930s. Having himself been raised in that country, the culture of the time is well reflected. Included along with Lorca's work are the interpretations and explanations of the translators. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
