    Nothing is as it seems

Lord Edgward is dead, stabbed in the neck. However, this man will be missed by no one. The police think his wife did it and poirot believes that some one is trying to frame her for murder. So, was he killed by his unloving wife, his daughter who also hated him,his nephew who needed money badly and received a large amount of it by his uncle's death,or by someone else?

    Fantastic, of course!

It's no suprise that this book is awesome. But I think that it in particluar is so completely characteristic of Poirot. In other books he is occasionally inconsistent, but here everything is perfect. You can really get to know him. Some of the books, also, don't seem to use all of A. C.'s tricks and trademarks and you feel like you missed something, but this, this is exactly right. It has everything, Captain Hastings and all (who I think is endearingly niave.)

    This Story Is Ingenious!!

This story is fantastic!! I'm reading it again. I'm very glad there is Capt. Hastings in the story also. Poirot did an outstanding job solving the crime! This is a story that you will (in my opinion) read many times!

    Definetly 5 Stars

I am a big Agatha Christie fan and love all the books I have read of hers so far. But this one is the best one I have ever read. That goes for non-Agatha Christies too. This book got me started on the Agatha Christie books. I like to assist Hercule Poirot in solving his mysteries. Even though I do not find out as much as him, I continue to do so. He is witty and a bit rude, but he is extremly smart. I may be a little young to understand some of the words (7 years old) but it is still very enjoyable. I recommend this book to someone who likes to curl up with a outstanding murder mystery before bed. Though it might make you stay up later. I think on a scale from 1-5 I would give it a 10. Excellant.
