Overview

After the death of his half brother, Stefan, at the hands of Vlad Tsepesh--also known as Dracula--and after the destruction of his vampire father, Arkady, also at the hands of Vlad, Abraham van Helsing has traveled the world slaying many vampires. With every vampire he destroys, Bram becomes stronger and Vlad weaker, and soon Bram hopes he will be able to finally kill the fearsome vampire who has kept the Tsepesh family enslaved through a centuries-old blood ritual.

But a desperate Vlad and his vampire great-niece, Zsuzanna, summon help from the most powerful, brutal, and beautiful vampire of all--Countess Elizabeth of Bathory. Bram learns of their plot to destroy him, and makes his own move to strike out at Vlad before Vlad can put him to death. He teams up with a courageous band of humans as he hunts Vlad--including Mina Harker and John Seward--and they finally succeed in killing the head of the Tsepesh clan, just as Bram Stoker foretold in Dracula. But the terror does not end with the death of Vlad, for there is another force that drives Vlad, Zsuzanna, Elizabeth and all the vampires, an ancient entity more evil than anything Bram has ever encountered: the Lord of the Vampires. And for Bram to defeat this dark lord, he must once again risk losing his very soul, to save not only his family, but humanity as well.

In her final book in The Diaries of the Family Dracul trilogy, Jeanne Kalogridis brilliantly melds her own fascinating story of the Tsepesh family with that of Bram Stoker's classic, Dracula. Told in diary form like the first two books and Stoker's own chilling tale, LORD OF THE VAMPIRES reveals the dark, startling truths behind the original Dracula.

    One Won't Be Disappointed

This book went beyond my expectations. Even though it was taken from Dracula it had a unique voice of its own. So much detail that Dracula lapsed, so much intrigue that leaves one filled with this ectasy.I would reccomend this book to anyone, as long as they are not scared of .......the night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    A Masterpiece!

After reading the two other books in this series, the third left nothing to be desired. It is a brilliant work and leaves the reader wanting more.

    Eloquent

Not for one line in this book had I been disappointed. Conveyed just the amount of emotion of Stoker's novel, and gave deep insights and reasons to some of our questions about the unmentioned aspects of the story, like who the three women were (I never would have thought of putting Elizabeth of Bathory in there), and Arminius. One of the best books I've ever read, Stoker would be proud.

    Improved on Stoker's story..

I loved this book, start to finish! I thought it improved on Bram Stoker's story (which I didn't think possible) and had a fantastic ending. I loved the way it was written (all 3 books) and I loved the characters, especially the different points of views. Definitely not a tween vampire series.

A book full of suspense, and eroticism

Lord of the Vampires is an erotic horror book, that keeps you embracing the darkness of vampires. Vlad, the lord is in love with Elisabeth, who plans to destry him for good. I recommend this book to anyone who loves the erotic tales of vampires.

    It was great!!!

i thought that all three books in the trilogy of the family of the family Dracui by Jeanne Kalogridis were great!! She did a great job at telling the story of the vampire Vlad Tsepesh and how anyone was willing to lose their life or soul to achieve this task.

    Amazing!!

I can honestly say that the moment I finished the book, I felt so empty, because I didn't want it all to end. I have now read all 3 of the books and I became a part of them. Kalogridis emerses you right into the book with her writing. I only wish that there were more books in the series. I was sad that it ended but it was well worth the read. Whether someone has a love for the vampire or not, I would recommend this hands down!!
