Meet the Author

Lorraine Heath always dreamed of being a writer. After graduating from the University of Texas, she wrote training manuals, press releases for a publicist, articles, and computer code, but something was always missing. In 1990, she read a romance novel and not only became hooked on the genre, but quickly realized what her writing lacked: rebels, scoundrels, and rogues. She's been writing about them ever since. Her work has been recognized with numerous industry awards, including RWA's RITA®, a HOLT Medallion, and a Romantic Times Career Achievement Award. Her novels have appeared on the USA Today and New York Times bestseller lists.

Lord Rafe Eason is known as a one of the Lost Lords. Spending years missing from society, he has made his fortune as the owner of a gambling establishment He has also experiences years of street life and hardship. Hardening him against his family and all those around him, the virginal Evelyn Chambers scares the heck out of him.

Evelyn Chambers is the illegitimate daughter to nobility. Sheltered from the world by her father, she has no life experience. So when her father suddenly dies and her brother sells her to the highest bidder she is unprepared for what life lies ahead. Rafe saves Evelyn from the perversions of the Lords but has his own plans to make her his mistress.

Dark secrets and hidden pasts threaten to destroy the building appreciation Rafe and Evelyn share with each other. Evelyn want Rafe’s heart but he believes he lost his when he was 10. Can they save each other? You must read Lord of Wicked Intentions and find out!.

I’m a sucker for a wounded hero and Rafe is the epitome of a wounded and tormented hero. His character is perfectly balanced by his polar opposite Evelyn, the naive virgin. Lord of Wicked Intentions enveloped me into the story and kept me there till the end. Emotionally gripping with the perfect amount of suspense, Lord of Wicked Intentions was a amazing historical romance adventure you won’t want to miss.

This ARC copy of Lord of Wicked Intentions was given to me by HarperCollins - Avon Books in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication on April 30, 2013.

For me, this was the best book of the series. It had the best of previous books plus a deeper level of emotion that sucked me right into Rafe's issues. This was a story of acceptance--the characters had to accept their lives would always be different and acceptance from friends and family as well . It struck the right balance of heart, drama, sexiness, attitude. Altogether a wonderfully well-written and emotionally engaging story.

    Could not put it down

Absolutely loved it and read it in one sittng because I could not put it down! I love Lorraine's books and this series has been up to her usual standard. I also like that she mentions a couple of characters from the Scoundrels series, it is always nice to revisit old favorite characters.

    Loved it!

I loved this series about three brooding brothers. But the last in the series was definitely my favorite. It was about the darkest brothe, Rafe and the woman he took for his mistress, Evelyn. This story had it all. I loved evelyn and Rafe and felt so bad for both of them and all the awful things they each went through. The end was both romantic and satisfying. This was one of the best period romances ive ever read and ive read hundreds. Not for under 18 due to sex scenes which were fairly descriptive but far from erotic. Phyl p

I have so waited for this book, the third in the Lost Lords series. Lord Rafe Easton is a tortured hero and Evelyn, an illegitimate daughter of an earl, comes under his protection. She's led a sheltered life and doesn't understand what her half-brother has done to her. Rafe plans to have her as his mistress, but that doesn't happen very quickly. For her part, Evelyn sees good in him which he doesn't see for himself. Their story is riveting.
Lorraine Heath is a wonderful writer and this is one of her best. I could hardly put it down.

A thrilling conclusion to the Lost Lords Series. Well Done Lorra

A thrilling conclusion to the Lost Lords Series. Well Done Lorraine Heath! This is a story of redemption, acceptance and love. Evelyn Chambers never understood her place in society. As the illegitiate daughter of a lord, she lived a sheltered life with her father, never knowing what the world really thought of her. Upon her father’s death, her half-brother sells her off in order to pay a gambling dept. Evelyn thought he was arranging her marriage. Imagine her shock when she is delivered to Rafe Easton’s door to be his mistress! As Rafe proclaims to be a cold, heartless beast, Evelyn sees a bit more to him than that. She’s determined to make the best of the situation, even if that means tearing down the walls Rafe has built around his heart one brick at a time.

Rafe Easton took one look Evelyn Chambers and knew he had to have her. Once in possession of this passionate beauty, he discovers how truly innocent she is. Yet there’s something about her that seems to undo him whenever she’s around. How can a hardened, heartless man, take such care and have such patience with a head strong slip of a girl? As Evelyn pushes him to his very limits, he finds all he wants to do is please her. How is it that he’s never cared to have acceptance and love from anyone else, but needs it from Evelyn?

As Evelyn and Rafe battle to find their place in society and with each other, they both find the answers and peace they are looking for. With the help of the other Lost Lords and their wives, the last Lost Lord of Pembroke finally finds himself again.

I love the Lost Lords of Pembroke Series and have patiently awaited the arrival of this conclusion and was not disappointed. This was my favorite of the three books, though I loved the others as well. Watching Rafe, the secretive, ruthless, independent lord finally make peace with his demons and his brothers was so emotional for me, I actually found myself tearing up at one point! I loved the way Rafe had to work through his past in order to give Evelyn everything she desired and deserved. This book took the old adage “Love Conquers All” to a whole new level! After all, everyone deserves a second chance at life. I would recommend this book, and this series to anyone who loves historical romance. You simply can’t go wrong. This book was received for a honest review by the publisher.

I will begin by saying I never write reviews.  I am a big fan of historical romances and read one or more a week for the last two years. All I can say is that  this book is tops.
I have not read the first two in this series, but look forward to reading them.  I loved Rafe and Evelyn.  Their story is an endearing tale of healing, love and family. I absolutely loved the book!

    Best Pembroke novel yet

This is the third and final Lost Lords novel and Rafe's story. The characters are so easy to relate to; I found myself drawn into this story more than the others, though the others are wonderful as well!

Another excellent book from Lorraine Heath

This is the final book from the Lost Lords trilogy and is Rafe's story. This is an excellent book with great plots and character development. 4+ steam. I can hardly wait for her next book.
