Lori's Redemptionby Pamela S Thibodeaux
Lori Strickland (introduced in Tempered Fire) has always been known as her father's "wild child" with no desire to change until she meets ex-bull-rider-turned-preacher Rafe Judson. Her attempts to change her wanton ways come to naught until she realizes redemption only comes with true repentance.

Lori Strickland grows up before your very eyes in this story. She's sweet at heart, but oh so lost and trying to find her way - not an easy thing to do in the rodeo world. And Rafe Judson, an ex-bull rider, the toughest of the tough on the circuit, has been through some very trying times and come out of it all with God in the spotlight of his life. From the time these two meet, there is no easy road for them to follow. Time and time again they cross paths, both knowing there is something special between them, and both doubting it can ever be. What a wonderful, heart wrenching story this is!
I guess I didn't realize how much the whole cowboy thing appealed to me until I read this book. And cowboy preacher? Even better. A man who can take to his knees, but throw a punch if he needs, too--I like that. And this may be very politically incorrect, but I still love a story where a man gets into a fight over a woman. The strength of the couple's love is easily illustrated when their emotions get the best of them. I adore a man who's all tied up in knots over a woman, who gets jealous, and then hates that he got jealous. When you put a character outside of their comfort zone you force them to grow and change. I don't want the heroine to be weak, but I'm okay with the hero stepping in to defend her or protect her if need be. And it's great if she saves him from danger, too. Or even if her love saves him from himself. The key is that both parties add to the other person's life something that they need. I can tell that this isn't Pamela Thibodeaux's first rodeo! She did a great job of capturing these characters, the struggles they faced, and their path to redemption. LORI'S REDEMPTION was a very enjoyable read!
Horses, cowboys, preacher man, cowboy, rodeo, cowboy... Did I mention this book has cowboys in it? Seriously, what is there not to love about this new story from Ms. Thibodeaux. This short read has 59 action pack pages that will pull you in with a lasso and not let you go til you turn the last of them. We catch up with Lori from Tempered Fire and meet Rafe, a famous rodeo rider, who changes his career after an accident. Fast paced, lots of action, gripping storyline... I loved it. It's gone straight back into my TBR pile.
