Overview

In a world ruled by refinement and, at the same time, by jealousy, disloyalty, manipulation, and cruel and sibylline Machiavellian strategies, a Spanish family rises to the top of society through an accumulation of ambition and betrayal, both internal and external. In the year 1378, at the time of the Great Schism, the Valencian Alfons of Borja is born. Upon receiving the papal crown, he becomes the first Borja pope. At the same time, he latinizes his last name into Borgia and so begins this famous family line. After his coronation, a part of his family moves to Rome, the moment in which the family history begins to be dotted with stories of ambition, intrigue, and murders.
