Attractive water-color illustrations in muted tones accompany a text appropriate for nearly any age group. Daniel is upset to learn that his beloved Uncle Tim has AIDS. Daniel¿s feelings, questions, and fears are addressed by parents and Uncle Tim. Lest potential readers fear homosexuality is part of the story, it's not. How Uncle Tim accquired AIDS is not addressed and is not relevant to the story. What is central to the story is how a child might react to learning of a loved one's illness. A useful story for explaining any terminal illness to a child. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
