I bought this because I've been searching for a Nook edition with the original illustrations. This edition does not contain them, despite the "illustrated" in the description. Nor does it contain a proper table of contents.
The tale is riveting, however. A very worthy read from a survivor of the tragedy. By all means, search for a proper version of this book.
The "illustrated" version here contains generic photographs of the titanic, icebergs, and a photoshopped sunset anyone can find using google image search.
You can find a better formatted version of this at Project Gutenburg, which unfortunately does not contain the original illustrations.
I'll keep searching for a better formatted version with the original illustrations. If I find the illustrations online somewhere, I'll make my own epub file and share it here.
Do not recommend this particular edition.
However, I do recommend this author's account of the tragedy.

Insightful and a must for the Titantic buff. The first-hand account from the perspective of a survivor is riveting. However, Beesley becomes a bit "preachy" in the second half of the book, telling the reader what he feels went wrong and what should be done to correct those mistakes. But, when taken in context of the time it was written, it is a very interesting viewpoint of an actual survivor of the sinking of the Titanic.

Some good insight into the disaster from an eye witness. But rather lengthy at times about details that are beyond the scope of the author. Still if you're a Titanic buff you will get some value out of it. Note: no illustrations in this version contrary to what is said. Disappointing.
