There’s complicated. And there’s Rowen Sterling.

After numbing pain for the past five years with boys, alcohol, and all-around apathy, she finds herself on a Greyhound bus to nowhere Montana the summer after she graduates high school. Her mom agreed to front the bill to Rowen’s dream art school only if Rowen proves she can work hard and stay out of trouble at Willow Springs Ranch. Cooking breakfast at the crack of dawn for a couple dozen ranch hands and mucking out horse stalls are the last things in the world Rowen wants to spend her summer doing.

Until Jesse Walker saunters into her life wearing a pair of painted-on jeans, a cowboy hat, and a grin that makes something in her chest she’d thought was frozen go boom-boom. Jesse’s like no one else, and certainly nothing like her. He’s the bright and shiny to her dark and jaded.

Rowen knows there’s no happily-ever-after for the golden boy and the rebel girl—happily-right-now is a stretch—so she tries to forget and ignore the boy who makes her feel things she’s not sure she’s ready to feel. But the more she pushes him away, the closer he seems to get. The more she convinces herself she doesn’t care, the harder she falls.

When her dark secrets refuse to stay locked behind the walls she’s kept up for years, Rowen realizes it’s not just everyone else she needs to be honest with. It’s herself.

This book was amazing! I loved the characters, especially Jesse. I also liked the messages that the story had like believing in yourself and to quote The Perks of Being a Wallflower to not "accept the love we think we deserve" but the love that we need and is right. I liked the warm country feel the story had and how kind the Walkers were. While reading the story I was able to get in the moment and enjoy what the characters were going through. And of course like any other woman out there I liked the physical relationship between Jesse and Rowen. I mean what's better than a sexy, gorgeous, hunky, kind, tight jean wearing cowboy? Ummm..... NOTHING! But overall this book was amazing and cute and was more realistic than most romance books. I could not put the book down and I think everybody should read this book. On a side note I think the song "Bound to You" by Christina Aguilera is perfect for this book. The song talks about how they are bound together and can't let go like Jesse and Rowan. It aslo talks about walls she has built up and how she is unsure if she can trust. It is perfect for this story you just have to listen to it.

I couldn't put this book down! The characters are so real, the story line exciting, this author certainly knows how to draw the reader into a reading frenzy! The entire time I was reading this, I pictured it as a movie with Cameron Diaz as Billy!

I absolutely loved this book!! Could not put it down! When I heard she is write a second one for this love story i almost had a heart attack with excitement! The one thing i hope she doesn't do with the second book is switch the roles of who's telling the story. I've read books that do that and i honestly don't like it as much as the first one. I want her to keep Rowen as the narrarator because I really like Rowens thoughts being explained because as she said in the beginning of the first book she is beyond complicated. I, personally, think no matter what she writes it will be a great read because she is a great author! :)

4.5 stars Hello Jesse Walker, and those tight pants of yours! This book was an absolute thrill to read! And it was also a nice change of pace from the other kinds of NA/YA I've been reading lately. Well, it’s different in the fact that the swoon worthy guy is a bit different from the guys I usually like to swoon over. That’s right, let’s take a step back from those bad, bad boys with those cocky mouths and arrogant egos. And let’s enter Jesse Walker!! Okay, so not only was Jesse Walker pretty much amazing in Lost and Found, but every character that Nicole created for this story was a thrill to read about. She knows how to create unique characters, characters that really go with her stories. Characters you just help to love, or in Garth’s case, you just want to beat over the head. Rowen was definitely the kind of female character I do enjoy reading about. She isn't perfect and she makes mistakes; however, she doesn't let others walk over her. She takes a stand when she must; she fights when she must, even if she goes about it the wrong way or is too stubborn. Rowen started out with dark looks and a dark outlook on life, and then she really showed strength, she became someone she could be proud of. It was amazing reading about this character’s development. As I mentioned before, Jesse Walker is unlike any fictional boy I have read, okay, there are a few I have read that are close to him, but I felt that Jesse Walker just had a little bit more awesomeness than the others. Anyways, like Rowen he isn't at all what he seems. With those tight jeans and amazing looks he could leave a trail of broken hearts, but that isn't Jesse. No, he is a very sweet and caring guy, but still, like Rowen, stubborn. Other than those tight jeans, I really enjoyed that Jesse didn't judge Rowen by her appearance. He loved that about her. And he challenged her, saw her for who she really was. I think Nicole did a great job making a guy that was equal to Rowen, that was perfect for her. The whole Walker family was a joy to read. I wish I could go away and stay with people like them. They love and cherish others, and do not judge people on how they look or act. That brought a good support system to Rowen and Jesse. Then the setting of Lost and Found was incredible. I say that because I do not read anything cowboy related. I just can’t, it really isn't something I’m into. However, Nicole made me love the cowboy looks, the lifestyle and the tight pants. Oh, the tight pants!! Did I mention the tight pants??  The plot, along with the pacing was really done great in this book. Nicole made it were I couldn't put this one down, page after page, I had to keep devouring it; I had to keep reading. I think the reason why I enjoy Nicole’s books so much is because her characters seem to challenge each other within the story. They fight, they argue. They are intense, but you can feel the ‘real’ in that. Even though the characters are fictional, they are still very much real in their emotions. That makes Nicole’s books that much more enjoyable to read. I definitely recommend this book to any New Adult book lovers, and especially if you enjoyed Nicole’s other books, heck, even if you've never read anything by her give this one a try. Lost and Found is about overcoming obstacles in life, finding the place one belongs, and finding not only love, but family.

Well, first of all, I liked the sound of this book so much that I forgot I’d signed up for this tour and purchased to book when it came out this week.  Then when I started reading it to review it, I was so into it that I stayed up until 2 in the morning reading it.  On a night that I had to be at work at 8 in the morning.  Did I mention that I put off making a punch for a coworkers last day and cleaning the kitchen to read this book? So, to say I liked it would probably be a bit of an understatement! Rowen is a bit rough around the edges, but whatever you do, don’t call her a freak.  But the most amazing thing is that from day one, Jesse seems to see right through all the outer trappings and really gets her. The real her.  The really cool thing is that no one has EVER done that. At first Rowen doesn’t know what to make of that, but slowly she starts to let her guard down and its amazing what happens as that guard goes down, really really good things. Jesse is truly one of the good guys and the relationship that develops between him and Rowen is pretty special. I really liked this one and enjoyed this book a lot. It was a great read and a great story.

I am from the country. Born and raised on a farm. So maybe that is why i found this book so horribly bad. Like it was written by someone with no real insight into country life other than google and westerns.... Jesse comes off as the posterboy for hot cowboy but is also portrayed as so damn naive its annoying. Garth was obviously put in to shake things up but his appearance in the story seemed forced and pointless.

Lost and Found was a great read and is now one of my favorite books! Although it was a little cheesy at times, the characters are so deep and the message of this book is so positive! Nice feel-good book that always put me in a good mood.

I love all of Nicole's books and this one is no exception. This was originally a stand alone novel but after fans demanding to find out what happens next Nicole decided to carry on Jesse's & Rowan's story with another novel coming out later this summer! I can't wait to read to see what happens next!!!!

I loved this book. I enjoyed it because it shows real emotion between two people who love each other and will do anything for one another and then it shows how people can forgive and/or forget. Can't wait for the second one!!!!!!! Once again loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first read this book in 2013. I re-read it this year.  I was once again blown away by how amazing this book is.  It was like reading the book for the first time, all over again.  I'm not sure who I'm impressed with most, Nicole Williams for such a wonderful story, or the journey Rowen and Jesse go on.  In a way, they're one and the same.  This is truly a book that needs to be read to be experienced. It's beautiful, surprising, thought provoking and will evoke all sorts of emotions. Jesse is probably the perfect guy. Scratch that.  He's the perfect guy.  Not only is his tush tight and firm, and totally squeeze worthy, but he is beautiful down to his soul.  I can't get over his attitude towards life.  It was almost unreal.  I love how he stayed on Rowen's case and kept encouraging her to open up and let what was eating away at her out.  I loathed Rowen's mother, as much as I loved Jesse's.  If Jesse was the perfect guy, Rose was one of the reasons why.  I loved Rowen too.  There were a few times I wanted to shake her, but as more of her past was revealed, the less I had that desire.  I came to understand why she acted out. Heck, I have no idea how she handled what happened to her. This book captured my attention completely.  I read it one sitting.  I didn't even stop reading to get tissues.  I walked as I read because I couldn't bear to put the book down.  There were so many surprises and twists.  Each one caught me off guard.  There was no way I could've predicted what happened in this book, let alone the affect it would have on me.  I didn't want this book to end.  I don't know how this book managed to be so sexy and yet sweet.   I'm so glad this book is the first in a series.  That not only means more Jesse and Rowen, but also more of the wonderful Walker family, broody and delicious Garth, and Garth's sparring with Josie, a childhood friend of both Jesse and Garth.  It means new challenges for them all.  I'm really looking forward to Near & Far and continuing Jesse and Rowen's story.

If there’s anything Rowan knows for certain, it’s that life is just one big series of disappointments. She’s used to it, she’s accepted it, and she’s learned not to try for anything more. But now that high school is over, she has to do something, and she’s had what’s left of her heart set on art school. Only her mom won’t let her have any bit of happiness that easily, and the only way she’ll pay for Rowan to go is if Rowan first spends the summer working on a ranch in the middle of nowhere. The absolute last place someone like Rowan belongs. Judging Covers: I picked this book up for free, along with a bunch of others, and when it came time to pick my next read on my Kindle, it was the cover that caught my eye. But now that I’ve read the book, I don’t feel like it’s right at all. The design is just lovely in its simplicity, with a great mix of fonts and a subtle color overlay that really makes it stand out. But it doesn’t hint at anything western, doesn’t show just how different Rowan’s usual look is, and seems too light for the story it’s supposed to illustrate. There’s something much deeper to the story than the cover portrays. The Verdict: I absolutely loved it. The fish-out-of-water storyline has been done countless times, but never quite like this. Rowan is definitely a troubled girl, but even as she is reluctant to trust anyone, even as she doubts herself and feels like she could never deserve the kind of life she finds in Willow Springs, the angst is layered lightly over a lovely romance. She’s put up walls and done all she can to outwardly show distance and apathy, and it all just feels so real. In striking contrast, Jesse is warm sunshine. He doesn’t fall for Rowan’s disenchanted act and doesn’t judge her for her differences. He just seems to immediately understand her, offering oddly wise comments and occasionally advice. Of course, there’s more to him than smiles and perfect abs, but he’s clearly heaven sent. Their romance isn’t what I expected, which is a good thing. Though in some ways you could say the story is predictable (of coursethey’re going to fall in love), the events that get them there are not. Jesse’s relationship with his ex-girlfriend is sad and sweet. Rowen’s reaction to the local bad boy is refreshingly real but shows she’s not just another stupid girl. There were so many places where this book could have followed a very specific, done way too often formula, but instead it took a different route to the happy ending we all want for these two. I can’t really say much more than that, since I don’t want to give it away, but suffice it to say that Lost and Found is a sweet romance, well-written and completely fleshed out, and it’s good enough that I actually *gasp* spent money on the next two books. What is the world coming to?
