    Fascinating Information, Editorial Nightmare

Overall I found the information in this book to be quite fascinating. A lot of time, however, is spent on Childress's personal life and journey to these places, instead of really going into depth about the places themselves. And the editing is absolutely atrocious with spelling errors, missing words, punctuation faux pas, and organizational messes. Beyond these two deterrents, though, the book kept my interest all the way through, and I plan on reading other books in his LOST CITIES series.

I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoys archaeological mysteries and/or biographies. If you're already well versed in these mysteries and are looking for more information or a deeper understanding, I would look elsewhere as I got the feeling this was more of a beginner's guide.
