I really enjoyed this bk and the scorpio series that goes with these characters. However both series this author promises the release of the next bk and months later of the release date she says and the books are still not available.

    MY THOUGHTS~
I was provided with a Review Copy/ARC for review.
Lost in France was a very enjoyable read. I nearly read it straight through and would have if pesky “real life” wouldn’t have gotten in my way! I am very much looking forward to reading book 2 in the Firebird Trilogy.
This book was a bit different from what I’ve been reading lately and that was surprisingly refreshing. I’ve been into the darker stuff lately, so this was great. Don’t get me wrong, it had plenty of ups and downs and heartbreak, it just was not a dark gritty read. Good stuff! Lost in France takes place mostly in -guess where...France! There is a bit of Austrailia in the beginning and plans for Germany at the end. I loved getting a glimpse into the French customs and experiences that the author offers us in this book. That’s a wonderful attribute.
Author Jani Kay, has a brilliant way with words and getting her character’s point across. She is very talented and I can’t wait to read more of this trilogy!

Whats not to love with these characters - a successful, determined Aussie girl and a sexy as all sin Frenchman - oh and don't forget the domineering hot American boss! Jani Kay is an exceptional writer and this book proved once again how awesome she is! This lady can really do a steamy scene and sexy characters. I can't wait to see where she takes the rest of this series. Especially that it's going to link in with her other biker series.

Rebecca left her home to begin a new job that would take her to

Rebecca left her home to begin a new job that would take her to France. She was running from the man that held her heart because
she couldn’t have him and being around him any longer was just too much to bear. So why not start over? On the plane she meets
Alain, the uber sexy Frenchman, and just wow the chemistry and immediate attraction between these two is dynamic. She jumps in
with both feet deciding to grab hold of this opportunity and see where it goes. So here we are in France with a French tour guide and
one that will rock her world. Then Rebecca comes face to face with her gorgeous boss, Maxwell Grant. She is drawn to him, there is
something about him that gets her hormones raging and her fiery temper flaring. But there’s a problem. Not only does she have Alain
and wants to see where it goes, but Maxwell has a beautiful super model wife, so why would he want her? And if there is one thing that
Rebecca is adamant about it’s that she will not be the other woman, ever.

At first I didn’t know what to think about Alain, I knew he was hiding something but not sure exactly what that was. Alain was determined
not to give into the chemistry as long as Rebecca was still someone else’s in her mind. He wanted her all to himself. His secret wasn’t
so bad, at least until feeling got involved and then ultimatums were issued. I loved Rebecca and Alain together and I was all for him,
that is until the end. Then I didn’t know any longer how to feel.

Now Maxwell, I didn’t really like him at first. I thought he was just a major palyboy that didn’t care about his marriage and only wanted
what he wanted. But as time went on I started to realize there was a whole lot more to Max than I knew.

So now guess where my ass is parked?
Right on top of that fence!

I need more, right now. I need to know the answers to unanswered questions about Alain. I need to know Max’s story. I need to know
what happens to Rebecca when she leaves France and heads to her next assignment in Germany. I NEED TO KNOW NOW!!!!

    5 HUMONGOUS STARS!!!

Oh My…..I have just been introduced to Jani Kay through this book and I am so glad that I found her!!
While things may not always go smoothly for Rebecca…she stays strong and true to herself!  Moving around the world to start her life over..sometimes this is every girls dream….and she made it happen with an amazing job and a boss she is having a hard time resisting!!  When her journey begins she finds her Frenchman who begins to make her believe in love again!!
Does it last??  Is she destined to always be the girl good enough to be the girlfriend but never the wife??  Will she take her destiny into her own hands or leave it up to fate??

Jani…this book was amazing…once I started I couldn't put it down..in fact I stayed up until 3 in the morning to finish.  I felt like I was in the story watching everything happen.  I never once felt like I was "just reading" a book..but could actually visualize everything that was happening!   I am already going through withdrawals of this story and can't wait until the next book comes out next year!!

    wow, what a hot book.
I whole heartedly loved this book. It may have left me a little / well very cross in places, but I am chomping at the bit for the second book. Rebecca departs her home in Australia to fix a broken heart on an adventure with a new job in Europe.
First stop Paris! Rebecca needs to catch a break from forbidden love, but will she find it in Europe? I couldn't put this book down and it left me with a huge hangover!

    Lost in France

*I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review*

She’s running, running and not looking back. Rebecca leaves behind her mother and two sisters in Australia to accept a job in France. She also is leaving behind the love of her life, her high school sweetheart. But why?

She arrives to start her new job, has met a debonair Frenchman and an overbearing boss. These two men are polar opposites. Does she feel an attraction to either of them? Does she desire the man she left behind? Starting a new life is difficult but she is bound and determined to do so.

Jani Kay has left me wanting more. Her writing style places me in the room watching these characters from the corner. This is a definite must read for those who like a good love story, a few adult rated scenes, and characters that you can relate to. Can’t wait for the next part of this series. I wish it was available right now.

Jani Kay wastes no time in getting to the good parts as the sexy sizzle between Rebecca and Alain
starts when they meet on the plane from Australia to France. As Rebecca leaves Julian and her native
land behind for a terrific job as Director of Marketing in Paris, she is ready for adventure and a new
beginning. She reacts so strongly and quickly to Alain on the plane that I wonder a bit if he is her
rebound guy, at first. Then Alain sticks around and acts as her own personal Parisien tourguide. (I want
one like him!) They are becoming inseparable, until her new boss, sexy, alpha male, American Maxwell
Grant decides that he is attracted to Rebecca, too.

I really enjoyed when Rebecca stood up to Maxwell and rebuffed him. She was feisty and confident as
she held her own during her presentation. She is determined not to get caught in the web of another
married man. I could understand her wariness and her need to be independent. I liked that no matter her
attraction to Alain or any other guy, she remained focused on her career goals (she has a PhD).

I enjoyed that Alain's POV was included. It was interesting to know what he was thinking and his
desire to marry for love, despite the threat of being cut-off by his father. The pressures of being an
    aristocrat.

Rebecca is caught between her attraction to both Alain and Maxwell. Her relationship with Julian
started off unclear in the story, but later more is revealed. Maybe in the second book Julian will play a
bigger role. The pros for Alain: single, wealthy, sexy, not alpha, wants to be exclusive with her; cons:
needs to marry according to his father's wishes. The pros for Maxwell: sexy, alpha male, self-made
wealth, strong sexual attraction; MAJOR cons: married, her boss for the 8-month contract, and initially
    was an arrogant, pushy jerk.

This is the first book of the trilogy, and Jani is off to a great start. There are plenty of romance and hot,
sexy, steamy scenes. The descriptions of the different sites in Paris definitely whet my appetite to visit
there. Unfortunately for Rebecca, she gets offers that she needs to refuse. She wants to have a man to
call her own and who puts her first. It seems like Alain will fill her need, until the surprise twist that
leads to a cliffhanger for them. I'm looking forward to where the next novel in the series will go... I
want more Rebecca, Alain, and Maxwell!

Note: I received an ARC (advanced reading copy) in exchange for an honest review.
