Meet the Author

Welcome my name is Max M. Power and I am a Story Teller. Like many Story Tellers before me I am here to feed your imagination.I have had the honor of being compared to such writers as Ernest Hemingway, Robert Browning, James Patterson, and Tom Clancy, but without all the boring details. My subject matter spans from poetry to short stories to novels.I am the Owner of Writing With Power Publishing and yes I self publish. I want to be able to control my work and not sell out to big corporations who are just looking to make a fast buck. I am more interested in having readers than profit. For this reason ALL ebooks that I am able to publish via SMASHWORDS will be published at the lowest cost allowed. I ask that you pass on and share my books with others so that the word may spread. If you want a paper copy you can order directly from the printer, cutting out the middle man completely. The links are on my website. So again, welcome to my world, I hope you enjoy your stay. The darkness inside

The story is inspiring and the poetry is really deep. So much of the contents of each line written hit home with me. While I wasn't hit with an epiphany I was given some insight into some of the things that I do deal with every day of my life. Thanx for showing me a part of ur soul, that matches mine.

    Thank You

I would like to thank everyone who has read and downloaded this book. This collection is very near and dear to me as I have known many people who suffer from depression. I just wanted to share my experiences with the world and to let those who feel like they are alone, you have an shoulder to lean on.

    Short

Kind of awkward...starts with poems [a few are ok] then goes into an odd story about moving and fighting, the author means well...

    Maybe i'm not getting it.

This poorly written piece was neither raw, insightful, nor entertaining. Its reads as if from a dictation of freudian psychoanalysis. Perhaps this is what he was going for, but for myself, it lacked any true insight into the deeper thoughts, emotions, etc. That could have been a genuinely good memoir. I would love to see a re-write, as the 'bones' of his life story are inspiring, if he could look beyond the surface of his own life events.

    Spirit

Its sad to think of how many kids are bullied and tortured every day, this was a powerful little books that describes their feelings and sense of loss, it also gives hope to those lost souls, God bless and shower your grace on those who seek you, thanks to the author for your insight and i pray that you continue to open peoples eyes to the crisis of bulling and depression,

    Mixed feelings

The life story at the end was interesting, the poems were redundant and depressing and the essays or short stories whatever they were are really boring.
