Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Rosa Roberts
This book is the eighth in the “Ravens Pass” series. In this installment, Garrett and Henry are going on a boat ride when a sudden storm hits and they are stranded on what appears to be an island. But is it really an island? Despite the shock of being marooned on this mysterious piece of land, both boys find themselves walking through a wooded area. An awful encounter transpires, when what appear to be zombies are walking around, adding to and intensifying the boys’ problems. Readers will have to read if Garrett and Henry ever make it back home safely. This book has short chapters and a fast paced in the plot for young readers. Illustrations are interspersed throughout to help support the text. The events are succinct with minimal development by the author; however, it will assist young readers in getting to the resolution of the storyline. Reviewer: Rosa Roberts; Ages 8 to 11.
