I just concluded my reading of "The Lost Photographs" and found it to be a very believable and compelling tale (based partly on historical facts). The author has interwoven these facts with a very exciting, nail-biting (at times) tale which holds one's interest from the first page to the end. I especially appreciate Mr. Carroll's succinct, "non-flowery" writing style. His straightforwardness in sticking to a well-conceived and craftfully-woven story helps keep the reader focused and involved in the plot. Mr. Carroll eschews needless details and embellishments, and only adds the details and background necessary at the outset to set the scenario which "outlines" the plot and imparts the main characters' personalities. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great adventure story with some bits and pieces of history, as far back as Biblical times, mixed in for good measure! Was this review helpful?
