Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
The Sesame Street characters all lend a hand to help kids understand opposites. There is humor and there are familiar characters and objects that most kids can relate to, so the lesson should be fun. Ernie has a pair of new sneakers and Oscar has old ones. Bert is clanging a pair of cymbals making a loud noise and Ernie wants quiet so he can read his book. The room is dark because the lights are off, but when the switch is flipped on then the room is light and you can see everyone. At the end readers are urged to close the book and then open it again! Kids who love the program and its characters will enjoy the book.
