Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Carrie Hane Hung
Summer time offer plenty of time to do things, including chores. George's mother has a weekday chore chart for the older children. Each day, George and his brothers have one specific task assigned to each of them. George is just too busy with his video games, fort, television, and swimming to bother with chores. Consequently, he does not receive and allowance and cannot go to the movies with Harriet on Friday. George comes up with a brilliant plan. He delegates the chores to his siblings and in exchange he will take them to the movies with him. Behind George's grand plan is a scheme—his brothers will be too tired from doing his chores to accompany him to the movies. However, George's plan goes awry, and he ends up with much more than he bargained for. Bright, colorful illustrations liven up this fun, enjoyable story with its moral message.

Awesome book! Teaches everyone a lesson.

This book was fabulous! It is about George and how he wants to go to a movie with Harriet. But his mom leaves him in charge of his 8 siblings. And he has to get all of the chores done and if he does not get them done in time when harriet comes he can not go. But when he tells his siblings to do his chores they do everything so wrong! So now George is left fixing there mess that they made. An awesome book for children so they learn that you can not take advantage with others. Totally reccomend it!
