    Great book to read!

    I thought that this book was great because it told all about the life of Louis Braille. I liked that the author didn't just show how Louis became blind, but also how Louis developed the braille system. In the beginning it was sad because he was so young when he became blind due to an accident and an infection. In the end, I feel the book was inspiring. Louis Braille had to work so tirelessly to develop Braille. I think this book would be great for third and fourth grade readers. If you like other books by Margaret Davidson, I think you would like this book!

    Louis Braille

    I found it to be a good resource material for a study of children's literature. The author gives insight into how disability was spoken of during the time of publication. I especially liked the back cover example of the Braille alphabet.

    This book is an interesting biography of Louis Braille and how he made the Braille alphabet. When Louis Braille was a little boy, he poked his eye out with an awl and the infection spread to the other eye. This caused him to be blind. Louis Braille never gave up on making the Braille alphabet. Braille is an alphabet of bumped up dots. I learned that Louis Braille died from tuberculosis. I recommend this book for anybody who is interested in Louis Braille¿s life.
