1300 + pages. I really enjoyed this book with the exception of 3 small things. While the heroine was an extremely STRONG woman (I loved that) she had a blind spot when it came to her fiance and seemed to be oblivious to his nature. Also I would have liked to see more details with the emotional developement between the heroine and her true love interest. Lastly the ending was WAY WAY too rushed and left the reader in limbo. Other than those I definately say give this book a read. Its worth the time and I plan to read more by this author

I had to write a review hoping the author wod read it. How can a woman go from being raped one minute and then literally seconds later, wonder what it would beike to kiss some handsome she just saw for the first time. Imposaible for me to believe a lady cod get raped for months and still ever have feelings for any man. Stupid. Our emotions dont run that high. Cmon man!!!

Wow 1350 pages. and free I couldn't believe it.. This book was so good.. I'm going to buy the whole saga . I finished it in 2 days and it was enteraining.. But yeh I'd agree,, I didn't like it how she kept getting repeatedly raped,, the first time was sad then again and again, was just depressing,, none the less Ah- mae -zing!!!

I really liked this book but very unbelievable. The heroine was an extremely STRONG woman. But no woman is that beautiful after being brutally raped or would survive being kidnapped so many times.

This was such an amazing story! It was refreshing to read a story that doesn't necessarely have a happy ending, or where the characters don't always make the best choices cause thats not how real life is. This book was real. It was gorry but it was the realities of the civil war with a little romance thrown in.

The story was good, but the ending ruined it and she was so abused by everyone. Just was so disappointed with the end.

The herione is a complete idiot, incapable of making a decision. While she may be feisty, she has the emoional maturity of a brain damaged scarlet o'hara.

A beautiful love story set during the years of the Civil War. The author does not sugar coat the war and some of the scenes she sets are very burtal and gory. I keep finding myself comparing this story to Scarlett in Gone with the Wind and many of the characters in the Saga North and South.

Too long and the main character was very stupid and made too many dumb mistakes. The author should have read once completed and mad several revisions.
