he love story between Margaret and Nathaniel and Andrew is very

he love story between Margaret and Nathaniel and Andrew is very touching.. Margaret thought that Nathaniel had left her several years ago, and she wasnt sure whether to trust him or not when he returns to Bridal Veil.  The Community of this small town pulls together to try and solve the murder of one of their own, and Margaret meets two Runaway children that are trying to escape to a better way of life.
This is an engaging story of love, trust, and small community living.

Oregon addition to Love Finds You series is romantic and mysterious mix

Love Finds You in Bridal Veil, Oregon by Miralee Ferrell is a thoroughly enjoyable addition to the Love Finds You series. Margaret Garvey thought her chance at love had disappeared four years ago when the man she loved, Nathaniel, left town without her, but Andrew has been reawakening those emotions. However, the secrets she discovers her father had been holding until his death will shake both relationships. Throw in a murder in the small logging town of Bridal Veil, Oregon and a couple of runaways and Margaret is pulled in several directions. Readers will enjoy the suspense as to which man Margaret will choose that is maintained throughout the first half of the novel, as well as how closely Margaret's struggle with faith is tied to her trust in her father. The story about the children isn't as strong, Sammie annoyed me to no end, and the end seemed a bit too tidy. Ferrell does a great job of portraying life in the Northwest with its focus on logging and family. It's the strong characterization of Margaret that makes the novel shine.

A historical site with a period love story

Love Finds You in Bridal Veil, Oregon, by Miralee Ferrell, offers an intriguing story set in a real location, a company lumber town, in 1902. I especially found it interesting since I have relatives who have worked in the woods and in mills and because it's set in my beautiful home state. The saga of two runaway children is interwoven with the town's teacher's, and their lives intersect. leaving none of them the same. Margaret, the teacher, eventually faces the choice of which suitor suits her--her teen love or the man she's grown to admire.

The well-rounded characters come across as credible from the start. The dialogue seems authetic--I love the old-time expressions they use, most of which I've heard from the older generation now passing away. The story contains lingering suspense, along with some surprises that pop up from time to time. The fetching tale keeps the reader chasing the ending. Oh, did I mention it includes a murder?

The lovely cover scene, however, is not related in the book--but passed over, although it certainly fits the title. I thought some spots could have used a bit more editing and polish to truly glow, but they don't drag down the compelling storyline. I recommend the book to all.

    Not Your Predictable Romance

Here's what I most enjoyed about Miralee Ferrell's historical romance, Love Finds You in Bridal Veil Oregon. When I read a romance, I don't mind the predictability inherent in the genre. Romances--different from love stories--promise a happy ending. The hero and heroine will end up together, regardless of what happens between Page One and The End. The difference in Bridal Veil is we don't quite know who the hero is. Schoolteacher Margaret Garvey has two good men in her life, and Ferrell manages to make them both sympathetic. The unfolding plot shows the reader much about the moral fiber of the three leads in this novel set in an Oregon logging community in the early 1900's. I loved having my allegiance tampered with while I read. Well done, Ms. Ferrell!

    Delightful

Ms. Ferrell did a wonderful job with this story. She brought Bridal Veil to life and makes you feel like you are right there. The storyline kept me turning the pages to see which young man the heroine would choose. And an added plus was the subplot of two orphan children. The story never lags. It keeps you interested until the last page. I highly recommend this book!

    A Riveting Read

Miralee Ferrell has done it again. I enjoyed her first book in this series, Love Finds You in Last Chance, California, and looked forward to another of her stories. This one was every bit as good, if not better. I was pulled into the tale from the start, and the mystery, action, and strong, likable characters kept me turning pages. I rarely have time to read a book cover to cover, but I made an exception for this riveting read. I had to find out which of the men captured Margaret's heart, who the murderer was, and how some special secondary characters fared. Ferrell does an excellent job bringing the historic company-owned logging town to life, delighting a reader with unexpected twists, and providing a contented sigh with her satisfying and surprising conclusion. I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy historical romance and tightly woven tales that keep one guessing until the end. My thanks to Miralee Ferrell for my autographed review copy.

    I Also Recommend:

    Good historical romance

This was a good story and fairly well-paced. The writing was mature and there was some mystery to the plot. I enjoyed the characters and the tension, though the story was far from edgy. It did have a good message about real love versus the attraction of youth. I felt like the story was a bit too long, though, but it was still a great read. I loved that Margaret had to choose the right man. Nice conflict there because I honestly didn't know which way she was going to go myself. The part of the book about the mill pond and the fire made me think of Marlo Schalesky's story Veil of Fire. However, the year and the state were different, so it's obviously not the same historical event. The fire scenes were briskly paced and I felt the sense of peril the towns people must have experienced. I read this book fairly quickly, though I was sick in bed most of the time. It was a nice historical and I can see why it's popular. I recommend it.

    Contrived

Thank you to Summerside Press for my copy of this Christian Fiction Romance novel. The premise of the Love Finds You series interests me--novels set in American towns with intriguing names that incorporates travel and romance. All fifty states will eventually be represented. It's a way to learn more about our diverse country.

This story line is set in an Oregon, 1902 lumber mill town, and teaches a bit about that industry. It contains romance mixed with a bit of a mystery, including a murder. I found it contrived. The ending skips and demands a stretch more than I am willing to give. This was not one of my favorites; perhaps you'll enjoy it more than I did.

A Story Not To Be Missed

At sixteen, Margaret Garvey's heart is broken by the man she promises to elope with. Four years later, just as she begins to open her heart to new love, the first man returns to Bridal Veil. Meanwhile, murder, orphans, a huge fire, and other tragedies take place, while Margaret is dealing with her own problems, decisions and relationship with God. This book is rich in the details of the setting. The characters are fully fleshed out, and the story moves along at a fast pace. The drama is high, while the romance is sweet. Once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down.

Don't miss Love Finds You in Bridal Veil, Oregon

Love Finds You in Bridal Veil, Oregon by Miralee Ferrell is the first one of the Love Finds You series that I got to read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The author's descriptions of the scenery make you feel as if you're there in this breathtaking place. Of course we have romance but it's not a simple love story. There are tough choices to be made and hard decisions. One of the things I liked about the story is that in the middle of this romance there is a murder mystery along with some other mysteries as well. The book will definitely hook you and keep you turning the pages until the very end.

This story has suspense, romance, twists and through all of it there is a wonderful message about trusting God. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. It's a great romance, but it has so much more as well.

Love Finds You in Bridal Veil Oregon

Just finished Miralee Ferrell's new book, Love Finds You in Bridal Veil Oregon and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Her characters came alive across the pages as I stepped into another time and place far removed from a hectic lifestyle. The story has many twists, turns, and interesting plot lines, keeping me guessing of the outcome until the very end. Ferrell did a great job showing us the lifestyle behind a lumberjack community in the early twentieth century. Details were beautifully word-painted, speech patterns gave flavor, and accuracy for terminology showed her research without bogging the story down. Couldn't put the book down until I had gobbled up every page.
