Love Finds You in Folly Beach, South Carolinaby Loree Lough
First impressions, thank goodness, really can’t be trusted! When marine biologist Holly Leonard agrees to help Parker Brant write a book on giant sea turtles, she expects a charming and charismatic charter boat captain—not the strait-laced, all-business dud who greets her. For his part, Parker is surprised to find that Dr. Leonard is not the matronly grandmother he expected but a blue-eyed beauty who’s lively, fun— and a total klutz. Unfortunately, the harder Holly tries to shed her “Holly Folly” nickname, the clumsier she becomes. Holly’s has breezed into Parker’s well-ordered world like a hurricane—but will he welcome the disruption?

Folly Beach, South Carolina.... the name just begs a good read with the promise of smiles, right? :) Miss Holly 'Folly' and Parker Brant... I guarantee you that these two will have you grinning from beginning to end. It's a good thing Parker overlooks first impressions, for Holly is not only 3 hours late to arrive at the cottage, but she manages to show her more klutzy side upon arrival. Despite this side of Holly, Parker can't deny the attraction he feels toward her. This is a great book for anyone who loves romances with a thread of humor throughout the story, and Christian values.
Love Finds You In Folly Beach, South Carolina***** by Loree Lough Marine biologist Dr. Hollace (Holly) Leonard had planned to be in Folly Beach, South Carolina hours ago, but she got lost-again and had a flat tire. Tired after the long drive, she finally arrives at the Bed and Breakfast she will be staying at for the summer while she helps Mr. Brant write his book on giant sea turtles. However, he is not what she expected when they meet. He is a former soldier, has a hard time trusting others and is so serious. Maybe she can get him to lighten-up some while they work together. Parker Brant, owns and operates a charter service and is active with protecting the sea turtles and lighthouses. He is writing a book on the giant sea turtles, but since he doesn't have any talent writing he hires a marine biologist, Dr. Hollace Leonard, to assist him with his book. She will stay in Folly Beach for the summer so they can get it completed as soon as possible. Expecting Dr. Leonard to be the grandmotherly-type, he is very surprised when she arrives. Not only is she not the grandmotherly-type, she is young, very cute and clumsy. There are secrets that are revealed with much heartache, many challenges the characters face and must come to grips from their past, surprises, romance, faith and forgiveness to make this a great story. ~~I received a copy of this book from the author~~
this book was slow. I bought on sale at LifeWay because i like marine life and thought it sounded like a good turtle romance. I was wrong. The romance part was too "in your face". As with the turtles, they don't start talking about them until half way through the book. i was very dissapointed
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fascinating to read about the sea turtles. I enjoyed Holly's character-positive,energetic,smart, so funny. The romance was sweet between she and Parker, well, whenever Parker acknowledged it,that is. Parker had an "Eeyore" outlook, but toward the end, he came around, and I liked him then. I loved Hank's character- he was so sweet-his love toward Maude was totally awesome. I won this book through a contest, I am so glad, because I loved it! Thanks, Loree, for signing the book-it is really special to me!
I would have to say that out of all the Love Finds You books this has got to be the best! There was romance on almost every page and the relationship between Holly and Parker is as good as they come! This book was fun to read because of Hollys spunky attitude. I loved the way the story flowed and how bit by bit it all came together in the end. This is a book that is worth the money :)
