Overview

A former Marine is no match for the spunky Sam Sinclair. Bryce Stone has returned to his hometown of North Pole, Alaska and he’s not very happy about it. “The Town Where It’s Christmas All Year Long” does not appeal to the self-admitted scrooge. What’s worse, Bryce must postpone his dream of opening a furniture shop when his Aunt Olive retires and leaves him to manage the family’s cluttered Christmas boutique. Bryce hires a petite and inexperienced young woman to run the store, figuring that if she fails, he can sell the place! But Bryce underestimates Sam, who grew up with seven rowdy brothers and is out to prove her mettle in the frozen north. It’s a battle of wills and the two soon find that they’re fighting for more than just the shop. After all, love takes as many forms as the snowflakes that blanket the streets of North Pole.

What's Bryce Stone, a Marine war hero, to do, when going home to North Pole, Alaska to hide from life's woes and start over in a barely-there carpentry shop isn't working? And everyone in town disgustingly commercializes Christmas every day of the year? What's Samantha (Sam) Sinclair, a Baltimore, Maryland chef with a brand new culinary arts degree, to do, when her guaranteed job in North Pole is reneged, and employment opportunities are almost zilch? And she's forced to settle for something else quick because no way is she going back home to face teasing and disgrace? Before either can think that hard about it, Bryce's caring but feisty Aunt Olive takes the choices out of their hands. She hires Sam to run the family's Christmas shop to allow Bryce the freedom to create handcrafted furniture. And I'm-in-love-with-Christmas Sam is enthralled with her unexpected job. She can't get enough of the season or the store, while Scroogie-yet-sweet Bryce acts like he doesn't want bitsy, little her and her Christmas spirit anywhere around him. Well, not at first, anyway. But not only that.neither of them realizes cagy Aunt Olive plans to spring a few surprises of her own. Using the unique setting, snappy, humorous dialogue, and real life plot twists that prompt the loveable but sometimes hardheaded characters to fling themselves in the arms of God, Loree Leigh has written a gritty, lighthearted story that keeps you reading to the last page (and turning it over looking for more). And after you've closed the book and snuggled under the covers, the tale's warm fuzzies swirling inside you will help you drift off to satisfied sleep. I highly recommend Love Finds You in North Pole Alaska, a delightful example of the author's sixty-plus love stories.

Love find you in North Pole Alaska  is a inspirational romance set in a real town of North Pole Alaska.    I am always a softie for a military hero and Bryce with his quirks was a memorable one.  Bryce is handsome even with is patch.   This couple hit close to home for me.  I could definitely relate to her tendencies to be scattered and distracted at home.  Aunt Olive was one of my favorite characters.  She had raised Bryce.  She was a great confidant to Sam and her romance was adorable.    The town was so charming I googled it after I finished the book.   You can see my full review at More Than a Review dot com where I rate the level of sex, violence, language and drug/alcohol use in books.

A charming romance set in a warm and festive small town makes this story unforgettable. Add in a cast of characters that are so uniquely loveable and magic happens. Firm in their Christian beliefs, the main characters rely on their faith to carry them through their rocky moments in life. When they make it through those moments, through the kindness of others, they rein praise. The romance that begins between the two of them is beautiful, sweet and right out of a warm your heart holiday movie. With a delightful Christmas theme and moments so funny it’s hard not to laugh out loud, you’ll fall in love with this wonderful inspirational story. I enjoyed Lorre Lough’s picturesque descriptions of small town life and the humorous encounters that take place where Christmas lives every day. All of Lough’s charming, sometimes stubborn, and yet completely lovable characters are strong Christians. This faith helps them steer their way through life’s ups and downs. Lough places Sam and Bryce, our courting couple, in many realistic situations—some will have you laughing out loud and others are so intense and poignant you will be wiping tears from your eyes. While heartfelt conversations organically propel the story forward, the characters remain true to their beliefs and demonstrate their growing affections with hand-holding and passionate kisses. I became a part of the book. I fell in love with the characters. This book made me laugh, cry and love. I loved it so much I didn't want it to end or have another book to read after. I would go out and buy another Loree Lough book or a Love Finds You book in a minute.

This happened to be a book I picked up on a sale table and I am glad I did. It is a sweet, fun, romantic story with humor and a little education of the area thrown in as well. The story takes a couple turns that I didn't really expect. This is just a fun book to read and I have purchased 2 others by Loree Lough which I am looking forward to reading. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

When it comes to Christmas, former Marine Bryce Stone is more of a "bah humbug" then Scrooge as he hates the holiday. So why someone like him is back in North Pole, Alaska, a town in which "Its Christmas All Year Long" is something he asks himself every minute. The Santa Christmas theme has always hit his gut, but still he manages his Aunt Brice's gift shop since she retired when all he wants to do his open a furniture shop. Sam Sinclair drives from the Lower Forty-Eight to North Pole for a job she accepted. However, upon arrival she finds no position waiting for her as someone else was hired. Bryce hires the upbeat elf to run his aunt's store figuring with her zero experience the shop will sink beneath the tundra. Instead people flock to the gregarious optimistic pixie to include Bryce who finds him self falling in love with her and the magic of Christmas. Subtly (except perhaps for Aunt Olive), this "Love Finds You" entry is an inspirational romance with the town in many ways as the leading character. Fans will appreciate the antics of the townsfolk and especially Sam who grew up battling seven brothers so a marine is a piece of pumpkin pie for her to humble. Although their romance follows a typical course, the setting makes for a wonderful tale of how the Grinch found his heart. Harriet Klausner
