Meet the Author

Gwen Ford Faulkenberry lives and writes in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. She and her husband, Stone, have three children: Grace (7), Harper (5), and Adelaide (1). Gwen is the author of God's Heart for You, a gift book published by Penman Paper, and she has written, compiled, and edited hundreds of products for DaySpring® Cards. A professor of English at her local college, she holds a Master's Degree in Liberal Arts. Gwen recently served as ghostwriter for a major project. This is her first novel.

    Great potential, but fell flat overall

    The story was interesting but the inner workings of the characters and the emotional play between characters fell very flat. "Flat affect" comes to mind in describing it. It seemed to improve about halfway through, but then it lost momentum and fell flat again at the end. Not a book I would care to read again. :-(

    Refreshing Writing! New Author! A Great Read! aahhh!

    Finally, a surprising, new and fresh approach. I found this book highly entertaining and engaging to read. I love the little morsels this gifted author carefully intertwined along the way to provide delightful unpredictability that kept me highly engaged. This author's refreshing writing style is entertaining and credibile. The book has integrity and authenticity and to my delight there is an intellectual level maintained throughout the story. I will definetely be following Gwen Ford Faulkenberry. I bought two of these books for gifts and am going to purchase her newest release as well. Really hope to see more and more from this author!

    New Favorite

    After reading this book, I have a new favorite author. I will buy anything Gwen Ford Faulkenberry writes. Her voice is authentic and her perspective fresh. She seems to have the perfect balance of faith and intellectual prowess, not sacrificing one for the other. Love Finds You in Romeo, Colorado, is definitely not a typical romance novel, Christian or otherwise. I found it to be a beautiful work of art.
    In the Christian market, it is hard to find a romance novel with real- life characters. I am amazed by this author's character development. She takes you deep into the hearts and minds of her characters while weaving a story that is impossible to predict. The spiritual lessons are subtle and wise. There are places where the prose just sings off the page. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves great literature-- and seeks after grace and truth.
