Overview

The world of fitness apparel isn't ready for Beverly Lewis. She hates the gym, is nice to everybody, and shops at Ross Dress for Less. When she's not teaching preschool, she's wearing yoga pants . . . to nap in. So when she inherits her estranged grandfather's fitnesswear company in San Francisco, nobody expects her to keep it. Fite Fitness needs a heartless suit to save it from bankruptcy, not a thirty-year-old woman who cries when her students leave for kindergarten.

Someone like Liam Johnson. A former Olympic swimmer, Liam is Fite's executive vice president. Unlike Bev, he's devoted his life to Fite's success. Managing one little preschool teacher--and his attraction to her--shouldn't be an issue. Right?

But Bev's tired of being underpaid and underrated, and refuses to step aside as an obedient figurehead. To everyone's shock and horror, she moves up to San Francisco, sets up an office, and dives into the business. Nothing--not mockery, not exercise, not sabotage, not a disastrously hot night with her aggravating VP--is going to scare her away. As Liam realizes she's tougher than she looks, he discovers that losing Fite might not be nearly as bad as losing her . . .

I adored this book, and hope Galway keeps writing more. Liam and Beverly felt so real to me, not at all cliched like so many contemporary romance H/h combinations. I was rooting for them the whole time, and this is one of those books you can sink into and just visit another nice, warm world for a while -- but it also makes you think. A great, hot book that has sizzling tension between the characters and plenty of wonderful humor.

I liked the story and bit of mystery but the business details left me bored. I liked Liam's family which may convince me to pick up the next book of the series. Adult sex scenes and foul language. A book for readers over 18 or maybe even 21

Loved this book and loved Bev and Liam!! This wasn't a sappy romance novel, but it had a lot of ups and downs and didn't strictly focus on the romance. It was a nice change to read a book that had a nice balance of comedy, romance, and drama. I was confused about Bev's mom's turn around towards her. The whole book she's horrible towards Bev and then when she finds out Bev is "missing" she freaks out and shows concern for her. Also this guy Rand was mentioned occasionally, it would have been nice to get the background story there. Two minor issues for me, but didn't take away from the story. It was fun reading a story about a sportswear company and woman who has never ran a company step in and turn it around.

Cute concept, but vulgar language kept it bogged down. F-bombs and profanity everywhere without enhancing the story one bit. Is it necessary to be so foul? Profanity is the last resort of the ubeducated mind.

Interesting and funny. Will want to try the others in the series. Hope the two make it to the altar soon before the next "season".

This is the first new plot I've read in awhile: it was very interesting, a look into the garment industry with some strong and smart characters. I give it five stars and I hope there is a sequel with the same characters coming along soon.

Good storyline, but I had a hard time following some parts and had to re-read more sections than I would have liked to.

Nice change of pace for the male character to be the insecure one (overweight as a child and issues with father). Ok read if nothing else around. 262/270 on my nook.

I loved how the main characters interacted. The mystery was well hidden.

This book starts very slowly. i had a lot of trouble getting into it. there is no reason specifically i can think of that made the beginning so hard to like, but once i got into it i really enjoyed it. The characters are diverse and amusing, albeit, her family was a little non believable in their eccentrics.

I enjoyed the book and liked the main characters but found the format slightly confusing as it jumped from one character being in one place to another character in a different situation with no transition between the two. I found myself rereading passages to see if I missed something. Would consider reading other books by the author.
