This book was great! It has a well thought out plan, Good for males and females. A little perv y but great book. Cant wait to read more!!!
The characters were fantastic! Just what you would expect them to be. The writing fit the age of the characters, The cover grabs your attention, especially for men. (bikinis)
Its dramatic at certain points, with the girls and their drama queens sometimes. There is so conduct, but not a a bad extent, usually its all a accident. (read to know) Romantic moments happen, so if you don't like romantic well im not so sure you would enjoy it...
Thrilling for men I would say. sometimes. Book club would be great!
Escapism, totally, if you wanna laugh!
Gift giving, maybe.. Rainy days to an extent. The book has a more summery feeling to me.
Permanent library... depends on the library's view but id say yes.
Topical conversation would depend on you.
    Not very offbeat.
But good for men and women, girls and men usually go together.
And all girls dorm goes for women with a nervous man
Sorry if I gave to much away! XD

    Too funny

I was reluctant to read it at first because of the cover I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but, come on you have seen the cover of this series its a little uh... misleading. When I read it I was laughing non-stop.I can't tell you how many times I was reading it some where quiet and I just burst out laughing there is no way you can read this and not burst into tears and laughter its too funny you want be able to hold it in. Out of all the manga books I've read so far this series has got to be one of the funniest.

    HOLY HINA!

WOW! I never imagined that anyone could have such things happen to them! Keitaro goes from having the worst luck failing to get into Tokyo U a second time to having the best luck by landing himself with the deed to a woman's dorm! He has the best worst luck EVER! The girls who hate him hate him and the girls who like him HATE HIM! This makes an interesting plot that simply must be experienced. I love Love Hina, I split my sides laughing on several occasions and once i laughed so hard i almost wet my pants! If you love Manga, Love Hina is a MUST READ!!!

    hilarious....

i just got into manga...i had wanted to get into it, but i hadn't really...so two of my really good friends (who are also HUGE manga fans) took me to barnes and noble one day and as soon as we got to the graphic novel section, my guy friend handed me the first volume of love hina and said, 'best series in the world!' so i started reading it...and i LOVE it! it's hilarious...i'm majorly into comedy and slapstick humor, and i just love how keitaro is always flying thru the air. su is the funniest character...i love su. but yeah, definitely the best series i've read (so far).

    Akamatsu-sama is the BEST!

The beginning of the series 'love hina' is something you cannot miss under any circumstances. It weaves the tale of Keitaro Urashima, who has no job, no money and no life. The only thing he has to on is a childhood promise to get into Tokyo University, or hereby referred to as Toudai. As chance would have it, his Grandma owns a girl's dorm in Hinata Hot Springs village, and she has asked him to be the manager while she takes a trip around the world. Keitaro takesw this offer with all the grace of a three-legged rhino on a tightrope. He has no skill with women and gets caught in many 'situations' with the residents of the apartments. The drawing of Love Hina is just amazing, and it evolves over the 14 volumes into an unparalleled work of art.

Great Book, But Not Very Refined

Love Hina is one of my top five series. Actually, it's my favorite. The drawing isn't very good in this volume, but by the last volume (14) it's rather amazing. The only complaint I have is that it's not refined. There are some good jokes, but really, how many times has the protagonist (Keitaro Urashima) fallen on Naru's chest throughout the series? Countless times. While she's an interesting character in this volume, Naru gets boring and slightly irritating by the end. The perverted scenes come too often and too uncalled for, and they'd get slightly predictable if you didn't see them on the next page. But the overall characters are interesting. Kitsune, has a lascivious side to rival Shigure's, Motoko is pretty but very shy and not good with intimate relationships. Shinobu is cute but even shyer, and Su, the very hyper and energetic Molmolian(?) girl. I'm sure everyone expects who will end up together in the end before even opening the book. While we have suspicions on who's the 'Mystery Promise Girl', no-one knows for sure and the possible suspect is taken ruled out, ruled back in again, and finally proven in the final volume. Overall, it's a great read, but don't let your mom get hold of it.

    Pretty Good!

This is a very good manga for people who like comedic stories and who like artists who draw with detail in both the characters and the backgrounds. The story centers around Keitaro who is a 2nd year ronin and has failed his enterance exams to Tokyo University twice. Keitaro decides to go and live with his grandmother's hotel that she owns. When Keitaro gets there he discovers that the hotel has become an all girls dormitory. Very funny, good romantic comedy from one of Japan's best Manga artists. 9.5/10

    Awsome Manga!

This is such a great manga! It was only the second manga I had ever read when I bought it and now I am a huge manga fan. The characters are interesting and fun. The only thing I didn't like about it was the unnessisary nudity, it's not as bad as some mangas but it's not needed. The art is beatiful with nice use of tones and good shading. Love Hina boooks are among my favorite mangas!

    REALLY dissapointed fan

This was the worst manga I have ever read. The plot was boring, the characters had little personality. This did not hold my attention for any amount of time. The drawings were poor and childlike- my five year old cousin could do better. In short, this book was the worst manga ever.
