Overview

Six years. Two break ups. One divorce. They should be over each other.

Olivia Minelli needs to leave Pine Harbour. It's just too hard to see Rafe moving on without her-even if he says he doesn't want to. But when a new and exciting job falls into her lap, she needs to choose: protect her heart, or take the new job and risk getting emotionally entangled with her ex-husband. Again.

A 20 chapter story of a divorced waitress and her very hot policeman/part-time soldier ex in his very small hometown in the Bruce, Ontario, Canada. The attraction still reigns 2 years after the divorce, the drama and angst continues between them, his family, and their friends. Very explicit sex scenes and language. This story can also be found in the .99 boxed set Fall in Love.

This book ensnared me in from the very first chapter and kept me enraptured to the very last page. I really enjoyed that this book shows a unique look at a love story - two people who are already in love, have struggled through a marriage and divorce, and both don't want to admit that they still love each other but are unable to find a way to be together. They fight their feelings for each other throughout the entire book. Their marriage is truly one that can be described as "love isn't always enough" and it takes both of them a while to figure out what else they have to do to make their love work. There are times the author flashes back to previous times in Rafe and Olivia's marriage and it helps the reader to gain insight into what has driven them apart. I loved Rafe in this book. He isn't hesitant to show - and tell - Olivia how he feels about her; he just struggles with the way to do so in a way that makes for a successful marriage. As they are rekindling their relationship, I like how each of them really seems to be trying to figure out what didn't work about their last marriage and try to change that for the better. I think Rafe comes to his realization quicker and I love how he starts courting Olivia again. It takes Olivia longer to figure out that what she needs out of her marriage she can only get from herself and not from Rafe. This is truly a love story - because it shows that love and marriage is hard, and it shows two people who BOTH work to create a successful marriage. They rebuild their relationship on the love they both still have, and each make changes and efforts that addresses what they believe their shortcomings were in their previous marriage ,and it results in a stronger second relationship between the two of them. It is a feel-good story with a happy ending I was cheering for from the first page.

I really enjoyed Rafe and Olivia's story. These two are both too stubborn to admit that they miss the other one. When Olivia decides she is going to leave town instead of seeing Rafe date, Rafe decides to fight to get his ex-wife back. These two start to work through their issues and Rafe is shot and things heat up fast with these two. I enjoyed meeting all of Rafe's brothers, sister and friends. I am looking forward to reading more in this series and by this author.

Right off, this is no lady. She uses the f-bomb often. But I am on forced bedrest and few options on how to spend my time. Finally the story line induced me to read on and I did enjoy how a divorced couple find that maybe they were divorced too soon.

Olivia's ingratitude toward her hard-working & trustworthy husband got very old very quickly!

This book has it all. The renewed romance is something every cpl should get. It hit home for me. The drama part threw me alittle, and o wished there were more details for that. Great style, steamy hot love, must read

Another winner from Zoe York! She does an amazing of of showing rather than telling. With the history between the two main characters, it would have been easy to get bogged down in explaining. Instead, she was able to jump back in time and have the reader experience the memory along with the character. This was another touching story from Zoe making the strong point that love conquers all. Though the expression is trite, the story was not. The characters were real people discovering that which they didn't realize when they were younger. Love really can overcome most challenges, but it must be combined with respect and understanding. The growth in Olivia and Rafe was believable and inspiring, a great reminder that the right love can and should last forever, even if it requires fighting for it. The writing is definitely intended for those over 18.

Rafe and Olivia definitely have a connection. They fell in love right away, and they've never fallen out. Love isn't the issue for them. Everything else is. Their lives and wants never really matched up. Eventually this led to a divorce, but now two years later, they're still stuck in a limbo. They can't move on, but they can't go back to that unhappiness either. It's nice to read a story with established couples instead of instant attraction. These two are passed that. They have to really put in the effort to make it work. Also, their jobs add some interesting bits to the storyline. I enjoyed it and will probably check out more books in the Pine Harbour series.

Thanks to all the revejiwers who give some reasons for liking or disliking ebooks such as these. "Cute, sweet or funny" isn't enough to let others know why. Letting others know about f-bombs and explicit sex scenes is helpful for those who want to avoid such. Thanks again.

This book started out OK and had potential but then it turned into a porn novel. You can only read the same scene over and over again. No dialog but sex scenes again and again. This is not literature...

I have gotten every free book I could find by this author and am really enjoying them. This one was very relatable. Everyone questions their relationship now and then no matter how much you love each other. I was glad to read about characters who were willing to work to mend their relationship and make it work despite the challenges.

The difficuly of marrying too young or too soon is the gist of this tiring story along with lust as the only means of communication.

Great story, but the F Bomb used too many times. Frigging, and dipwad would be a better word as almost everyone knows what it really means
