Meet the Author

Karen Porter Sorensen (New York, NY) is a writer and performer who has dedicated the last five years to researching love. She sets up her public booth on city streets and invites participants to answer questions about love in exchange for flowers. To date she has interviewed hundreds of people. Sorensen attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison and received a BA in theater, followed by an MFA in performance at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Her work ranged from theatrical productions to one-woman shows, from performance art spectacles to gallery installations.
