This power of his poetry is tied to his passion for ecological survival and social justice movements. The Rev. Osagyefo Sekou calls Dellinger "the poet laureate of the global justice democracy movement."

won't let me sleep
my great great grandchildren

what did you do while the planet was plundered?
what did you do when the earth was unraveling?

(First of all, I'm sorry Via! I wa being sarcastic with that :P shoulda made that more clear. MagiKKal, I started reading your fanfic and it was great! Probably even better than mine! That would be funny, to have a crossover. Just to clarify, this chapter is in the perspective of Shadow, a new ScorchClan member)
Shadow couldn't wait for the patrol to come back. Hazelpaw promised to trick Ripplestar's only daughter into coming past the border.
*I've never held a cat for ransom before, not even in BloodClan!* The black and white tom paced, paws tingling with apprehension. A yowl of triumph came from outside of camp.
*Have they done it?* No sooner did Tigerblaze trot into camp. Snake and Ice held an albino she-cat between their flanks. She was trembling with anger and fear.
"That's Ripplestar's daughter?" Shadow coudn't help himself but sneer.
"Hazelpaw promised it was. Do you not trust Hazelpaw? She will be joining us soon, so you'd better start," Tigerblaze, the deputy retorted.
"What did you ransom for?" Flamestar, the leader asked.
"I told Hazelpaw to tell Ripplestar that if he wants his daughter back, he will give us 10 peices of prey and chunk of their land. We will return at sunhigh tomorrow for an answer." She responded.
"Rivertail, keep her as prisoner in the dirtplace."
"My name is Winterpaw," the albino groaned. Gashes were pierced on her throat, probably from resisting to go with the patrol. Shadow almost felt sorry for Winterpaw. Almost.
"Why not kill me now? My father would send me away for free if only it weren't for my supporters. He'll never give you prey and territory for me," she went on.
"I said, put her in the prison!" Flamestar roared, ripped Rivertail's ear with a sharp claw. Rivertail nodded, eyes filled with pain as he dragged her by the scruff into the dirtplace. Shadow watched in triumph. He could almost feel the former WaterClan territory beneath his paws, chasing a plump snowhare. He padded over to the fellow former BloodClanners. Ice and Snake were bragging about how they got the honor of going on the patrol. Scar was watching Winterpaw, and Mist was grooming her pelt.
"What if the 'Paw was right?" Shadow randomly blurted, suprised at what automatically came out of his mouth. "What happens if Ripplestar refuses?"
Mist shrugged. "Kill her? I dunno. We can't give her back."
"Sounds good to me, Flamestar interrupted, obviously eavsdropping on the conversation. "We kill her if Ripplestar says no." (Yes, this again wasn't one of my best chapters. I'll admit it was a bit rushed. And short. I have about 800 characters to spare. But i gtg soon, so hoped you liked it!)
