This is my favorite of the Virtue Falls short stories. I enjoyed the story, the characters and the satisfying ending. Any Virtue Falls story is better when Kateri plays a role. I love that she is the go to person in Virtue Falls if anything "woo-woo" is going on.

Once again Chriistina Dodd visits Virtue Falls for her latest story, "Love Never Dies".  Most of the story takes place in the local cemetery. Frank Vincent is the resident ghost. He died long ago as a soldier from the World War. His great regret is that he never had the opportunity to tell Sofia he loved her. He doesn't know why he hasn't crossed over.  Someone else haunts the cemetery, too ---- a serial killer that preys on women. Frank is powerless to help the victims. One day a young girl enters the cemetery. Frank Vincent hovers around her. And to his surprise, she can see and talk to him! Areila is friendly and not scared.  She says her Grandmother used to talk about a man named Frank Vincent. Coincidence? She is determined to find out his story. She meets Kateri and other Virtue Falls residents and asks about the cemetery ghost. The serial killer also notices Areila. Frank tries to protect her, but can't. Although I could see that he and Areila had a connection, I didn't guess the killer's identity until the end. I enjoy Christina's books because she builds her characters layer by layer. Her descriptions of places are so vivid that I can picture myself there. Her next Virtue Falls book is already on my list to read!

What a lovely short. Our heroine, in trying to help a ghost, she finds her past, she solves several murders, and helps the ghost find his everlasting. A great addition to Virtue Falls.

A Sweet Love Story … and a murder mystery all in one. This short story by Christina Dodd in her Virtue Falls series, “LOVE NEVER DIES” introduces you to a young woman, new to the area, Areila. She almost makes a fatal mistake by choosing to walk home from work a certain way; and Areila can see ghosts ... well one in particular – but she wasn’t aware it was a ghost, at the time. We are also reintroduced to Garik Jacobsen and Kateri Kwinault. When Areila realizes what is happening, Areila takes her story to Sheriff Jacobsen, who in turn takes her to Kateri Kwinault. There is far more going on in this story than one realizes at the start, and as things unfold we begin to see what all there is. Christina Dodd knows how to wrap a reader up and keep them enthralled. The entire collection of the Virtue Falls Series is truly worth every moments reading.

Great story! Normally I'm not a huge fan of short stories, but knowing that it was taking place in Virtue Falls, I couldn't turn it down. Loved revisiting a few of my favorite characters from the previous novels. The story takes place in a local park where there are dark and twisted acts taking place. Unfortunately, the only witness to the heinous crimes is a ghost that has been stuck in purgatory, if you will, unable to leave the boundaries of the park. With this being a short story, I won't give anything away. I totally recommend you read it and enjoy a tale of darkness, intrigue and love.

Easy and fast read. I loved this short story proving that love exists always and that true love never dies. It was great to get a glimpse into characters that I have come to love from previous books. I would recommend this even if you haven't read the Virtue Falls series.

I received an opportunity to read this short story for free in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this story -- it was a good addition to the Virtue Falls series, but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. Areila is an intern passing through a park and sees a man who ends up protecting her from a serial killer. Frank Montgomery is a ghost who cannot leave the park, and is unable to be seen by most people, including the women who are being preyed upon by a murderer. Frank mourns the deaths of not only his true love, but the female victims in the park. Areila meets up with some familiar characters from previous Virtue Falls books, which is a treat for readers of the series. Why can Areila see Frank when most people cannot? This is a quick, touching read, perfect for both readers of the series, or just a reader looking for a quick, enjoyable read.

So not happy...just purchased this on my nook for $1.99 and guess what... its only 24 pages long....getting really tired of buying a book, only to find out its not a book and way to short to count as anything but annoying!!!!. I call rip off!!!!

I received a free copy of this story to review and give my honest opinion. This is a sweet love story yet also a mystery with a serial killer preying on women in the oldest park in the town of Virtue Falls. This park is also literally the haunt of Frank Vincent, a ghost only the crazy can see, until one day a lovely lady, who reminds Frank of the woman he loved and failed in his lifetime, sees him and talks to him. But can Frank save her from the serial killer who wants her for his next victim? Favorite characters from Ms. Dodd's Virtue Falls books make appearances, but this is a stand alone read. This story is also more paranormal than the other Virtue Falls books. Wish it had been turned into a full sized novel, but it is an excellant story.

I always love Virtual Falls books and while this was a short story i loved it just as much. I enjoyed how Ariel was connected to Frank (don't want to spoil it). I also love how all my favorite characters from all the full length Virtual Falls books are here. A good read

It is a special love story with a ghost. I loved it, it is a nice short story, that didn`t seem like a short story, soon as I started it, I couldn`t stop, I was so caught up in it. I was really caught up in the story when Frank couldn`t help the girls and when he tried to help Sophia. I am glad Frank and Areila has a happy ending. The Virtue Falls series is really great, I love each of the books in the series. I can`t wait for the next one. Christina is a great author, when I see her name on a book I know I will love it.

Love the book and I couldn't put it down by the end needed a tissue. Frank was trying to get back to his girlfriend Sofia but along the way he came across a girl being hurt and tried to help and both lost their life and buried in potter field. He was stuck in the park through the years and was helpless to stop the murders that he saw being done. Frank though he would never be with his love Sofia and be stuck forever in the park. Wasn't until Areila came through the park and got in trouble was he able to help and she could see him. Areila helps him connect with Sofia. It shows that true Love Never Dies.

I love this short story! It takes place in Virtue Falls and we get to interact with some of our favorites, like Rainbow, Kateri, and Garik. I love the mystery of Frank Vincent's existence and why and how Ariela can see him and talk to him. This is a story that I wish was a full length novel.

Love Never Dies is a short story that revolves around Christina's Virtue Falls characters. As the previous reviewer wrote, it's a great way to keep the characters of that series in our minds as I, for one, read enough -and have crazy life things going on- that I end up forgetting some of the characters over the year between her books. Love Never Dies reads almost like a Bones episode with murder and mystery-plus there's the supernatural element here. It's a bittersweet story of two crossed lovers but it ends nicely (thank you, Christina!-I don't think I would keep reading your stuff if they didn't. ;) If you like Christina's other books, you will like this one. Although the shorter length did bother me because I would have liked more-but that's coming in September. I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.
