The mysterious lady grants him one wish. Assuming the woman's offer is false, Kevin returns home with thoughts of a past conversation in his mind. Later when he steps from the shower everything has changed. The disorderly home is no more. All his vacation chores have been completed. And most surprising of all he has seven wives.
Will this unexpected twist turn out to be the blessing he hoped for, or a curse he wished he'd never asked for?

"Love Octagon" by Felicia Rogers was a good read. How Felicia Rogers told this story was really unique. I laugh so hard at all of the things that were going on in the novel. Truly "Love Octagon" was humorous. I guess you can truly say be careful of what you wish for. This was especially so for Kevin Earl Smith when he took a weeks' vacation. Kelvin had dated a co-worker named Angela but nothing really had come of it(so he thought). Kevin had many plans during his vacation such as cleaning his house, fixing the patio, and mowing the yard. Kevin had the guys over from work that evening (Mark, Fred, Jerry, and Tom) for BBQ. They all had an enjoyable time talking men talk and one thing that had been discussed from one of those talk shows was never having to lift a finger if you have multiple wives. It seemed that Kevin really did some deep thinking about this because the very next day when he is doing his run he stops a mugger wearing a ski mask from attacking a old bag lady. After he chases the mugger off the the bag lady..she tells Kevin that he has one wish. Kevin had no glue what that meant. However, when he returned home strange things had happened... there was now clean laundry, clean floors- wiped cabinets, outside-the mowing had been done, broken shelf fixed and CD's picked up.This was very strange because he had not left his home clean in any way. This left Kevin wondering who had done this.... his mother, friends, or gremlins? The next morning upon awakening, Kevin has seven wives, nine children and a larger clean house. The thought of being in the Twilight Zone came to his mind! Where did these people come from? Now Kevin was wondering how all of these people could exist in one house and how in the havens could he survive this. Would he able to be with Angela... maybe as number eight? How would Kevin get out of this mess? Each day of that week was a interesting one and in the end was it a ........ Well, I don't want to tell you what happens next but this is a good read.. do pick up this novel to find out! Truly, Felicia Rogers has a way with her writing that you keep you turning the pages. The characters were really interesting and I liked the one phrase: What happens during vacation ... stay on vacation. And yes, I would recommend the book "Love Octagon" as a good read.

Be very careful what you wish for!
Reading this story I decided that Kevin Smith's picture was in the dictionary by the word procrastination. Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow. But it just seemed like each day, tomorrow never came. What is the saying? The path to Hell is paved with good intentions.
What would happen if a stranger granted you one wish and it came true? But your mind was focusing on the silly conversation at work with your friends, a wife for each day of the week and you would never have to do a thing? Yea, right, seven wives and lots of children in one household, nothing can ever go wrong there! So will this unexpected twist turn out to be the blessing he hoped for, or a curse he wished he’d never asked for?
"Your greatest desire shall be fulfilled, one wish you may build. It was like she'd been leading him down a path he hadn't been able to see. When his eyes were finally opened to his loss, his misery, his need for repentance, was when his life changed for the better." Now can Kevin and Angela find happiness when they get together and talk without others interfering?

The first 30 pages of this story are slow, borderline boring but if you can get past that The Love Octagon is riddled with humorous stories.
The quote 'I see your hiney, so nice and shiny. It makes me giggle to see it wiggle' is so cute!
The Love Octagon has a cast of many characters, mainly women who all have different personalities making the leading male, Kevin go crazy. Waking one morning to find your home invaded with 11 kids and 7 wives would make any man go crazy. Kevin is not without his faults, at times I found myself thinking 'serves him right' 'he's so lazy!' and 'what a looser'.
The Love Octagon is an interesting story that makes you remember the old adage 'Be careful what you wish for because it might just come true'.
