Overview

A rollicking, rip-roaring double-dose of action and adventure from the world of the Hollywood Vampires!

Starring Clarisse, Brandi, Donita, and Katheryne, Love, Red Wine, & Magick's two novellas take you down south, back in the 1960's -- when men were men, women kicked ass, and horrible things lurked in the dark hearts of ancient swamps!

In "The Ballad of Thomas Brown," a mysterious traveling bluesman by the name of Tom Brown comes to Seward County, Mississippi and is menaced by the town's local -- and dangerous -- racist idiot, Mort. Out to steal 'ol Tom Brown's hard-earned pay, Mort and his gang are foiled time and again by the resourceful guitarist...

But when the sun goes down, the dark secret of Mort's questionable lineage comes to the forefront -- along with a healthy dose of frustrated rage -- and turns a figurative monster into a real one!

Fortunately for 'ol Tom has a few angels on his shoulder in the form of the Sisters of Fury -- an all-female, all-vampire biker gang who've stopped in Seward to listen to some good old country blues. With the likes of sultry, clever Clarisse and relentless powerhouse Brandi on his side, 'ol Tom's odds are a lot better than they were before...

Or are they?

Meanwhile, over in "Linda Marie," Jimbeau Getty's one true gal Linda Marie has been mentally hijacked by a sly necromancer and the disembodied spirit of HIS one true gal, leaving poor old Jimbeau in a bad way. Thankfully, Jimbeau's got some formidable friends in the form of half-vampires Donita and Katheryne -- a gypsy and witch duo who are best friends, lovers, and extremely loyal to their pals.

With gentle Katheryne and loudmouth Donita in tow, Jimbeau plunges into the dark depths of an eldritch Louisiana swamp in search of Linda Marie -- while the necromancer and his lady love are out to open a gateway to another dimension and turn loose a monstrous horror from beyond the veil of time...

A horror that could spell the end of everything.

But Jimbeau and the girls don't know that yet. They just want to get Linda Marie back -- and find themselves battling hordes of zombies and a gigantic abomination made from hundreds of human corpses! And then...

When the true stakes of the game are revealed, it's a cataclysmic showdown of cosmic proportions as the fate of the world rests in the hands of a belligerent gypsy and her air-sick companion! Hold on tight, folks -- it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Love, Red Wine, & Magick disposes of the usual angst and drama found in vampire fiction for a hard-hitting, hilarious, and totally human perspective, bringing you thrills, chills, spills... and laughs aplenty!

Meet the Author

Matt R. Jones is a stubbornly independent fellow hailing from the American Midwest that writes off-the-wall vampire and horror fiction for fun and a little bit of profit.

He'd like to do this for a living someday, but for the moment, he's just happy that people from Great Britain to Australia to New Zealand have been reading and loving his stories since 1998.
