    Excellent

This story was very very good. It was rich with lots of history and a insight of the what the king thought as well as his subjects. This is indeed a keeper.

    Heroines as doormats!

Nyssa goes to court to serve Anne of Cleves, the fourth wife of Henry VIII. As that marriage staggers to its end, unbeknownst to her, Nyssa becomes the target of some ambitious schemers in the court, who arrange for her to be drugged and found naked in the bed of notorious rake Varian de Winters. Humiliated and shamed before her king and several members of her court, she is forced to marry this man. When she expresses her outrage at being so ill-used, de Winters threatens to spank her, as if she's a recalcitrant child, and she not only accepts all this meekly, within a few pages she's having her first orgasm in his bed!

Small's historical research is excellent, and to her credit, she manages to make me care enough to be outraged on behalf of her heroines. But I have to ask, am I really supposed to root for these two people to come together? Because right now I despise him, and I have NO respect for the heroine because she has no respect for herself. What makes people rate books like this so highly?

    An Interesting Book

Love, Remember Me, was definetly not like Blaze Whydman! So if you intend to buy this book for a great sequel dont. Dont get me wrong this book was great, but it was more about the life of King Henry and the court then about Nyssa Whydman's life. Never the less the book was interesting and informative. I did not find this book such a page turner like most of Beatrice Small's books. If you want a book about what the court was like back in the 1500's then I advise you to get this book!

    What a Disappointment

I read Blaze Wyndham over and over again, so when I saw the sequel I rushed to get it. What a ripoff! This book is not about Nyssa Wyndham and Varien deWinter, it is about Queen Catherine Howard and the intrigue of Henry VIII's court. I kept waiting for the main characters to develop in vain. This should be revised extensively.

A Wonderful Sequel to Blaze Wyndham

Ten years ago, I decided to write a historical novel set in England, being a dedicated Anglophile. But I wasn't sure what time period to write about. I picked up Blaze Wyndham, and my mind was made up: I was going to write about the court of Henry VIII. The story and its sequel are both beautifully told. The characters come to life so vividly, and the historical details are marvelous. Bertrice, you were my inspiration, and if it wasn't for you, I never would have written THE JEWELS OF WARWICK, which was published in 1999. I can only hope to be as beloved an author as you someday. I have recommended these books to everyone.

    SULTRY

I FOUND THE BOOK INFORMATIVE ABOUT HOW LIFE WAS DURING THE TIME OF KINGS AND QUEENS. THE WAY MS. SMALL MAKES YOU FEEL WHEN YOU READ HER BOOKS, MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE THERE LIVING IT. YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN AFTER YOU READ THE FIRST PAGE. OVERALL I WAS QUITE IMPRESSED WITH MS. SMALLS WRITING AND CAN'T WAIT TO READ MORE!
