All Music Guide - Scott Yanow
Vocalist/pianist Diana Krall was a very hot property by the time this Impulse CD was released. Teamed in a trio with her regular guitarist Russell Malone and bassist Christian McBride, Krall here mostly emphasizes ballads having something to do with love. She is at her best on "I Don't Know Enough About You," "I Don't Stand a Ghost of a Chance With You," and "How Deep Is the Ocean." However, Krall's earlier Nat King Cole tribute had more variety in tempos and moods and is recommended first. A decent but not essential release.

    A great cd

This probably the best cd Krall has relased.I loved it so much, that I had to dance to it for my solo.At the age of 12,Krall has opened the doors to different types of jazz for me.

Krall brings us back to the Classics!!!

Krall recaptures the true essence of the classics complete with the elegance we seem to have lost in this day and age. Sultry voice, smooth and cool, and what a knock-out!!! Keep it coming Diana!

    Fabulous!

This is a great ''feel good'' c.d. It is what makes you smile, want to be romantic, and grab your partner and dance!

    This should've won a Grammy

Diana Krall out did herself on this album. All the songs she chose happened to be love songs hence the title ''love Scenes''. Diana is a grammy award winning artist however, like most artist, their best work is never what they win awards for. This definitely is her best work and she does a outstanding job of venting the feeling of each individual song. Her accompaniament as well as her own talent on the piano are unparalleled only by her idol Nat King Cole.

    Sultry!

I love this CD...my first Krall album. ''Peel Me A Grape'' is marvelous, and I love the mellow, yet provocative elements in this entire selection.
