This doesn't read like a textbook, and I mean that as a high compliment. It covers lots of topics, but reads practically like a novel. First, it looks at its subjects--love, sex, and intimacy--from a wide set of perspectives; molecular biology, psychology, history, literature, philosophy, anthropology, poetry, primatology, and more. Second, it's written personally, enjoyable, dynamically. Third, it has great illustrations, cartoons, and photos. And, lastly, the authors reveal themselves as distinct personalities; that lends this authoritative synthesis of what's known about love and sex a genuine humanity. Hats off!!Was this review helpful?
