I loved this book. It is a true story and was written by the main chatacters son, so you know that it ultimately has a happy ending but the best part of the story is getting there. It was bittersweet at times and was hard to put dowm. I read it in just two days.

Overall, the story of this remarkable woman was wonderful and so interesting, but the author is long winded and had the most horrific idea to end each chapter with "But I digress." Seriously? First, he didn't digress at all and at times went and on. Secondly, if I see that sentence in print again, I will surely scream after reading it close to 50 times in this book. It is a shame too because it really is a lovely story.

Dude, I finished this book in like a day. I loved it. It was a super great book although at parts it would drag on and run off the subject. And the author finished the chapter always saying "But I disgress". That got a bit annoying but other than that I loved it!

The story was wonderful and very hard to put down. However, the writer's style was not for me, mostly run on sentences and very repetitive. Good book to read on a rainy day!

I had a very hard time getting into this book. In the end, it was okay but wasn't for me. The characters were okay, and the writing itself wasn't terrible, but I think it just was not entertaining enough to hold my attention. I forced myself to finish it though.

Nice book, but I just didn't like how the story would drag on in some parts but then feel rushed in other parts, such as when Connie met the doctor. But overall a nice story.

I REALLY wanted to like this book. But I digress. I thought it was going to be some epic romantic tale. But I digress. First off, who published this book? Second, Thomas Dunker, did you graduate middle school english? Have you ever learned anything about telling a story? Do you know how to close a chapter? "But I digress" is the most pathetic ending to a chapter I have ever read. THIS BOOK was a pathetic feeble attempt at literature. I have a tip for you, why don't you stop digressing and learn how to write a book!

I really liked the story and very easy to read BUT at the end of each chapter he phrase "But I disgress" Really got annoying. It was almost like he was apoligizing for what he wrote.

A little struggle to get into, but extremely well written. There is truth and a rhythm to this story that resonated with this reader. Sometimes, that's all it takes to push something over the top, rhythm. Great job Mr Dunker. Great syncopated rythm, but I digress.
