Overview

The Nashville Nights series is burning up backstage in this sensual friends-to-lovers novel featuring a good-guy cop and a woman who’s been looking for Mr. Right in all the wrong places.

Pretty-boy musicians are a fixture of the Nashville country scene—and Elle Hart, hairdresser to the stars, is beginning to think that they’re all total pricks. Elle’s dating choices have been a disaster, but at least she has Tucker. Though he’s easy on the eyes, no one would ever accuse Jason Michael Tucker of being a pretty boy. The humble and handsome sheriff's deputy from Elle’s hometown has always been there to comfort her—until the evening their friendship unexpectedly leads to the best sex Elle has ever had.

Tucker has been lusting after Elle since they were an item as teens, but he knows that their wild night of passion is a one-time thing. He’s an old friend, nothing more, and they’re too different to become a couple just because they’ve knocked boots. After all, she hates being back in their hometown, and he’s not so fond of the big city. But when Elle comes to Tucker with news that changes everything, he must help her come to grips with her traumatic past—or risk losing her forever.

Love Taker is the third book in the Nashville Nights series and tells the story of the third Hart sibling, Elle and her best friend Tucker. Elle is a beautician who can seem to find right guy. Her best friend Tucker is a police man in their hometown, who has never gotten over their high school romance. Needless to say, Tucker comforts Elle after another horrible date and one thing leads to another. Their relationship soon moves from friends to lovers and an awesome romance is born! If your a fan of country romance this is the book you, I was given a free copy for an honest review.

Love Taker is the last book in Erin McCarthy’s trilogy, Nashville Nights. I really enjoyed the first two in this trilogy, but this last book dragged a bit for me. I think it was because I got so irritated with Elle. She’s not irritating but some of her thinking was irritating to me. I hate to see the heroine struggle as much Elle seemed to. Tucker is like the boy next door and I’m pretty sure he has loved Elle from the start. These two just take the long road to get together.

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. Yeah this book is not for me. I do like friends to lovers story, but did not find this one to be one. There was too many back and forth, and I am sorry I know Elle was immature, but if Trucker truly loved her, he would have stopped sleeping with the other (woman). I just cant have that, it ruins story for me. You either love someone or you dont, even there is conflict, you pick one and that is it.

This is the third book in the Nashville Nights series and is very different than the first two books. Elle is different than her siblings and she has always felt that. She is kind of know for her man hoping. She likes the good looking ones, but they don't present enough substance to keep her interested. When her latest boy toy insults her and leaves her contemplating where her life is at, she calls her high school boyfriend and current BFF Tucker for a shoulder to vent on. Tucker will always be there for Elle and when her late night call leaves him feeling that she needs a shoulder to cry on, he jumps in the car and makes the drive from KY to Nashville. When a challenge is issued to test Elle's kissing ability turns into more than a kiss the BFF's find themselves in an awkward situation. Will their friendship be able to withstand an unplanned pregnancy? Also will the fact that Tucker has decided to move on and has found a girlfriend mean that they will never have a chance at discovering what might be true love? This is a great story and it left me happy at times and in tears at others. While this is the third book in the series it can definitely be read as a stand alone.

I have many “go to” authors, but my first and foremost is always Erin McCarthy. I have yet to read a book or a series she has written and not thought to myself - she has done it again! “Love Taker” is the third book in Erin’s McCarthy’s newest series, “Nashville Nights,” and it was amazing. In “Heart Breaker,” we met the first Hart family member, Jolene, and watched her fall in love…again with Chance Rivers. In “Dream Maker,” we met confirmed ladies man Shane Hart, and sweet, naive Avery O’Leery and witnessed their love story unfold, with a few fun plot twists (which, I must say, is one of my favorite things about this author - the unexpected side stories and subplots). Here, in “Love Taker,” we meet Elle Hart - the independent, gorgeous, but unlucky in love, sister of Jolene and Shane. And, we meet her best friend, humble, handsome, all-around good guy Jason Michael Tucker….who also happens to be her high school sweetheart and ex-boyfriend. Anyone can tell that there is lust, passion, and unresolved feelings lingering between these two. One crazy night….and their friendship is tried and tested in so many ways. Will this friendship survive or be destroyed? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I would even rank this as one of my top five favorite Erin McCarthy books —and let me tell you, I do not say that lightly. Erin has A LOT of amazing books. But, this book made me laugh, hold my breath for what would come next, ache for the characters’ situations, and wonder on more than one occasion - how is this going to end? *I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this story, received via NetGalley, and am posting an honest review.

Nashville Nights just got hotter. This is the third of the series it helps to read them in order BUT you go not have to. I always love a good friends to lover story & this one has lots of twists & turns. Elle & Tucker have their share of baggage BUT I love how Erin McCarthy always writes believable story lines...esp when she includes the dirty that can happen in real life!

Love Taker is the third book in Erin McCarthy's Nashville Nights series and it is my favorite. Best friends since they were teenagers Elle Hart and Jason Michael Tucker tried the dating thing, but distance, careers and failed relationships kept them apart unless they needed a friend until one night they crossed the "just friends" line. Tucker has loved Elle for as long as he could remember, but Elle always kept them in the friend zone where Tucker didn't want to be any longer. Elle didn't want anything to change in their relationship because in doing so she would have to admit that she cared more about him then she was ready to admit. What if it didn't work out? The possibility of losing her best friend was worse than never fully allowing their relationship to grow into something more. I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

LOVE TAKER by Erin McCarthy is the third book in the series and in my opinion it was the best in the series. This third book is Elle and Tucker, best friends for as long as they can remember and when things are going bad for Elle on her latest date who does she call, not her famous sister but her best friend Tucker and he is so worried about her that he drives four hours to make sure that she is ok.  One night of comfort between best friends turn into one morning of passion and one month later a little surprise growing inside Elle.  This was not supposed to happen, it was only ever about Tucker showing Elle what an amazing women she is, even though Tucker has loved Elle forever.  What will happen between Elle and Tucker, will they end up together to raise the baby???? LOVE TAKER by Erin McCarthy was such a great book and even though it is the third book in the series it can be read as a stand alone as only the characters in the book cross over.  I would give LOVE TAKER 4/5 stars. Another fantastic addition to the Nashville Nights series!!! Elle Hart can't seem to find the right guy for her, they only seem to love her for what she can do for them or for the fact that her sister is a country superstar. After yet another disastrous date, Elle calls her best friend Tucker to vent about men. Tucker is the sheriff of the town they grew up, before the Harts moved to Nashville. Tucker has had a thing for Elle for years but values their friendship too much to push for more. When Tucker shows up on Elle's doorstep concerned for her after her latest dating disaster, comforting takes on a more physical nature that neither of them excepted. Their friendship returns to normal after their one night of passion except their one night had consequences neither of them know what to do with. Tucker will do whatever it takes to show Elle that he has always been there for her and has never yet let her down, their relationship becoming more serious will not change that. Elle has to work through some self doubt and meet Tucker halfway, he is the only one who has ever seen and excepted her for who she is. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite story lines and this one was done very well. Elle is used to traveling and is free spirited and Tucker is kind of a salt of the earth guy, complete opposites but they complete and complement each other incredibly well.

Elle Hart is a hairdresser/ make-up artist. Her sister Jolene is a Nashville superstar (the star of [book:Heart Breaker|27405143]), her brother Shane is a record producer (the star of [book:Dream Maker|27876316]). With both Jolene and Shane happily paired off Elle is feeling like a big loser, when her latest date goes sideways and he makes some hurtful comments she takes it more to heart than normal and ends up crying down the phone to her best friend Jason Michael Tucker. Tucker is a policeman back in Elle's home town in Kentucky. He has been in love with Elle since they were children but once she left town with her family and moved to Nashville he knew they had no future. She loves the big city and the bright lights, he loves the small town they grew up in, serving friends and family as a police officer. Elle swore she would never return to the town which knew her father was beating her mother but did nothing to help. I think the book blurb makes it pretty obvious what happens, but just in case I won't spoil it for others. But when circumstances change can Elle and Tucker reach a compromise? This was a sweet, sexy friends to lovers romance. I hadn't read either of the two preceding books and although those character appear in this book I didn't have any difficulty reading this as a stand-alone. I read quite a few of Erin McCarthy's Fast Track series but kind of gave up with [book:Full Throttle|17213121] which I felt was jumping on the FSoG bandwagon, a wagon I detest anyway and which every author who had a long running series seemed to be jumping on a couple of years ago. Anyway, this book has opened my eyes to a new series and encouraged me to revisit the final book in the Fast Track series. Recommended if you like southern drawls, sexy policemen and friends who just might be lovers. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This is the third book in the Nashville Night series. Elle Hart is a hairdresser to the stars. She has come in to this career due to her sister is a singer so that is why she lives in the big city of Nashville. Elle has been trying to find a relationship with a good man for a long time but has been struggling but keeps trying. Elle’s very best friend you will be surprised is not a girl and his name is Tucker and he has been her best friend since childhood. Elle has had enough with men and how they make her feel after this last date and how he was insulting her. Elle decides to call Tucker because he will help her feel better but something changes this time. Instead of him just talking to her on the phone he actually came to her place and spent the night with her. This time their connections were stronger together then ever and they ended up sleeping together. This story follows the trials and tribulations of Elle and Tuckers relationship and how they feel their way through it all. I don’t want to give away any of the really good parts of this book because there are many awesome parts. You will have to just have to wait and see if they continue as boyfriend and girlfriend or if they are better off as friends or maybe more. Enjoy reading I reviewed this book as an ARC from the Author.

When a book grabs you and you can't put it down you know it is a good book! I finished it in one day. Work kept trying to get in the way, but I read at every break, lunch... I have read several books by Erin McCarthy and have always enjoyed them. But this book I have to say is one of my very favorites. I think I fell in love with strong, sexy Jason Michael Tucker. He has always been there for Elle. Watching their relationship unfold was beautiful. Getting glimpses of characters from Dream Maker & Heart Breaker was an added bonus! The Nashville Nights series is one not to be missed!!!! “I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.”

Love Taker (A Nashville Nights Novel 3) by Erin McCarthy is an interesting story but not necessarily my favorite in the series. It is a “friends to lovers” story but really do friends use friends because Elle sure used Tucker at times, which did not work for me. Of course, he let her but still.... It reminded me of the Tim McGraw song about all the narrator did “just to see her smile.” Finally, Tucker stands up and decides to move on in his life. Then it seems as if they both are using others on the rebound. I never truly bought that Tucker was finished with Elle so how did Misty? Then this story gets really complicated. Yep, it is just like a country love song. It is well-written with my having some definite views on the characters and their actions. While they may not be my favorite people in these stories the author’s style kept me reading even when I wanted to bop the immature Elle and too-accepting Tucker. 3.5 Stars An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley.

Third book in the series, but not necessary to have read the first two to get the story. If you've read the first two, it's a nice continuance for those characters. The book description will tell you about the book, so these are my views. Elle is the main character and she isn't all that likable. She wants what she wants and doesn't want to compromise on anything, for the most part she only thinks of herself. We meet Tucker after some guy tells her what he really thinks of her, and he comes to her emotional rescue, as he has for years. Tucker tries to move on with other women, but always runs to Elle if she needs him, so he gets dumped which you can understand the other women's desire to not be always second to a ghost of his past. Both characters need to man up and really think about what they want and what it's worth to them to get it. Events happen that finally make both of them realize what matters, Elle most of all. I had hope in her and it finally came to fruition, no disappointment.

Elle and Jason were high school sweethearts who broke up when her family moved to Nashville. He lives in Kentucky 2 hours away and they have remained friends, though he would like more. Elle was kind of clueless as to how Jason really felt and did a poor job of not taking him for granted. When one thing leads to another one morning, Elle handles the situation poorly. Her constant pushing him away got old for a bit. Yes, she had a bad childhood. Yes, she moved away from her hometown because no one stepped in to stop the abuse. However, she was not a 17-year-old girl any more and needed to face up to her fears, not run from them at every turn. She took Jason for granted and then, when reality intruded, she found herself in a predicament. Sometimes when you push people away - they actually go away. She was immature and selfish throughout the first half of this book and I found it hard to like her. It is the sign of a good author when you find yourself still reading even when you do not like one of the main characters. I liked Jason and was pleased when he started to live for himself. He was definitely confused and tried to do the right thing, but found himself fighting for what he wanted at the right time. Both he and Elle needed to work on their communication skills and not hide their feelings. It was like two teenagers trying to find their way through a first love, and not two grown adults working their way back to each other. I did like the ending. I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review and am grateful for the opportunity.

An excellent friends to lovers story that I truly enjoyed. Elle and Tucker were so cute together and all along I wanted to see them together. I thought Elle was a bit ditzy and just a little lost but she came through in the end. Tucker was great! He knew who and what he was and made no apologies for it. Both great characters and a great story that has these two working through some serious issues to get to their HEA. I definitely recommend this one.

**Review copy provided by the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review** Love Taker is the third book in the Nashville Nights series and it is about a second chance at love. Elle Hart lives in Nashville, is a hairdresser to the stars and she is the sister of recording star Jolene Hart. She has always felt like while she enjoys men, relationships with them are more work than they are worth and her latest foray's into dating prove to be epic fails. The one person she always has to turn to is Tucker, or more specifically Jason Michael Tucker, her high school boyfriend and best friend. Tucker is a sheriff's deputy in Elle and Tucker's hometown in Kentucky. Tucker has never had a desire to live anywhere else and he's happy with his job and living the dream he set out for himself. The only thing missing is a woman to call his own, but the one he really wants doesn't feel the same way, or so he thinks. When Elle has a particularly bad date, she does what she always does and calls Tucker to talk it though. When he ends up showing up at her house, multiple hours away, at 4 a.m., things heat up between them as he tries to comfort her. Will their sleeping together cause a rift in the friendship or will it somehow bring the two of them closer together? This book was a good addition to the other two in the series and while the characters from the other two books appear in this story, you can easily read it as a standalone. It was a sweet story of friends who turn into lovers and I'd recommend it.
