    Great Story

Really liked this one a lot. Lots of Memphis places show up in this heated love story between a very human Texas girl and her Irish vampire lover. It's different than the same old, same old genre stuff. Good read and hope to see more from this writer

The One Hundred Romances Project Review

I want to bottle Will Brennen up and bring him home and keep him for ever and ever! I adored Will, and really, who wouldn't? We have a super sweet, sensitive, caring, and the only sonnet quoting vampire I've ever had the pleasure to read. And I read a lot of vampire stories. And I have to admit I like Cara also. She realized right off the bat that everything going on was crazy, but being an independent and strong woman, she went with it! And I know I would have if I were in her shoes. I loved the power of love in this story, and the emotions that bound our lovers right from the first note she sang that caught his attention. I thought their bond over music was awesome, but I wished her singing would've been more predominate.

My criticism of this story would be that it needs a little polishing. I felt it was a tad choppy to start, and a little bit redundant on the adjectives. Also the love scenes sort of confused me at points, as in how they got to this position when they were this way and how could she be doing that when they were doing this? It did make me scratch my head at times, but I think the point of the story and the characters far outshine everything else and is worth the read.

    Great Love Story!

This was a different paranormal romance where for once the love was a major part of the story, not just the paranormal parts. Cara Riley is a heroine with her own style and Will Brennan is just totally a hunk. They fall in love and even their frequent intimacies are touched with love. I don't want to give a spoiler but the ending is just awesome, very telling of just how much he loves her no matter what.

I reccommend it to anyone liking a real love story and the setting of Memphis, Tennessee is done so well you feel like you're there!

    Review at The TBR Pile

**Review and giveaway** TBR Reviewer: Nat He's a sexy bad ass guy who quotes Shakespeare and she's a tough girl going after her dream of being a singer. Their dialogs sound like they're opposites at first: he'd be the poet and she the scientist. But when we get into his thoughts, you see that the statement is inverse - most of the time. To be honest, I found Cara very funny, but you can take her analogies as a bad thing, depends on what type of reader you are. The author was very creative with the metaphors used, and some made me laugh! There were so many adjectives it buried the story. You're immersed in her mind, her thoughts, all the craziness! More focused on them than the acts, I dare say. Overall, this book didn't get me hooked, but it was a fun and sweet read at times. It started a little rough, but got better on the second chapter and after some ups and downs. The beginning was a bit confusing, mainly about how the phrases were structured and there was a lot of problems related to pacing and focusing on the plot. The secondary characters could have been better explored too. In the end, this is romantic story focused on the relationship between the two protagonists and the platonic love they have for one another. If you enjoy paranormal romance you can see the potential this book has. We didn't like it but it had potential.
