Overview

A war is brewing between the hunters and the vampires and Chloe is determined to strike against the vampires before they have a chance to attack the hunter community.

While Chloe tries to convince the hunter community, and most especially tries to convince Drew, that they should move against the vampires first instead of waiting for an attack, the group of new friends—Oscar, Alice, Drew, Chloe and Christina—are distracted by news reports of a vigilante who is saving innocent humans against what can only be vampire attacks. Fearing this vigilante will cause unwanted attention that will expose the vampire-hunter community with each person he rescues, the group attempts to discover who this mysterious potential vampire hunter is.

When they catch up with him, the group learns a shocking revelation that might just change everything for everyone in Arcadia Falls, but will have the most profound impact on Chloe herself.

The Arcadia Falls Chronicles is the continuation of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter. Following the format of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter, The Arcadia Falls Chronicles is serialized into several novella-length stories.

Meet the Author

Jennifer Malone Wright resides in the beautiful mountains of northern Idaho with her husband and five children. Between the craziness of taking care of her children, whose ages range from sixteen all the way down to two years, and being a homemaker, Jennifer has little time left for herself. The time she does have left, usually leading far into the night, is spent working on freelance work or her beloved fiction.
When she grew up, Jennifer always had her nose in a book. She has been writing stories and poems since grade school. This love of the written word and her strong interest in the paranormal is what has led to her first novel “The Birth of Jaiden.”
In addition to being a mother and homemaker, Jennifer is also a very proud military wife. Moving around the country for the last ten years has made her a bit of a nomad and she finds it difficult to be in one place for too long.
Jennifer is also the author of The Birth of Jaiden, a paranormal novel filled with action, suspense, and even a love story.

Is it too soon to beg for more?? =)
It's been awhile since I've been reeled into a story so quickly! Bravo!! I have read a lot of terrific books since I finished The Vampire Hunter's Daughter series yet it seems like just yesterday I fell for Chloe & the gang. All of the details immediately coming back...the love for these characters, the town, & their mission flooded me.
WOW, I was seriously in need of a Chloe fix!! And boy did this ever satisfy the craving! ;*D
I wasn't expecting to finish it tonight, but I could not put it down & finished it in 3 hours! This series is gonna rock for sure!!!! I can't wait to read the next book! BTW I'm totally Team Drew! LOLz

For anyone who is new to the world of the vampire hunters,Chloe & her pals, ... even though The Arcadia Falls series could totally be a stand alone series ... I suggest reading the The Vampire Hunter's Daughter series first so you can enjoy all of their background! ;)

I am a huge fan of the Vampire Hunter's Daughter series.  The first six are currently available in an omnibus.  I actually bought it as a paperback even though I had all six as an e-version.  Yep loved them that much. Have no worries if you are late to the game because book one is free!!  Also, if it has been a while since you read the other books, that is no worries on that either.  Jennifer does an amazing job of letting the reader know what happened in the previous installments without the constant repetitiveness that some authors use.

In this installment, we get to see Chloe really start to grow up.  She is starting to come to terms with her past and to make decisions for the future.  Not very easy decisions, either.  This novella really shows the depths of Chloe's relationships with her newly discovered family and friends.  It has some adventure, some romance, and some surprises I did not see coming.  I can not wait for the next installment.

    Reviewer: Bex
Rating: 4 out of 5 Fairies

Love & War is an exciting read that allows fans (and new readers) to follow vampire hunter, Chloe's next journey. The main character Chloe, who I had previously established as being a favourite YA heroine of mine in The Vampire Hunter's Daughter, continues to develop in skill and maturity in Jennifer Malone Wright's book.

The book is well crafted with an interesting plot development and twists that I really did not see coming. There are numerous exciting, heart-pounding moments in Love & War, that successfully entertained me and kept me gripped. It was a thoroughly enjoyable story, one that both new readers and hardy fans will enjoy.

Disclosure: This book was provided by the author in exchange for an HONEST and not necessarily positive review.

Another amazing installment of "The Vampire Hunter's Daught

Another amazing installment of "The Vampire Hunter's Daughter" series. Love & War finds our heroine dealing with normal teenager issues, while also worrying about a potential vampire attack.

These stories always leave me wanting more. I look forward to reading book 2.

As I loved TVHD, it was nice to see Chloe in the next phase of her life. Never a dull moment when it comes to reading about Chloe and the gang. Enjoyed another wonderful story that picked up right where the last series left off. Jennifer really does out-do herself with each book she writes. OUTSTANDING!

WOW Lots of surprises in this one. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this story. The Vampire Hunters Daughter was a great series that has lead to an even better one. If that's possible. I'm so glad I got this one right after the last installment of The Vampire Hunters Daughter. I'm sad that I will have to impatiently wait for Taking Talon now lol. I am a proud member of Team Drew!!!!

This is the sequel novella series to The Vampire Hunter¿s Daugh

This is the sequel novella series to The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter short stories which I read basically in one sitting. It picks up shortly after the last short story ends, following sixteen-year-old Chloe and her crew of vampire hunters, a young witch, and a male siren as they try to figure out what to do next in the shadow of the vampire war they are sure is coming.

I disagree with a lot of things in this series—mainly the mentality that vampires. Are. Bad. With no hope or shot at redemption even if they wanted it. I understand that they can’t all be Edwards and Angels, but it makes no sense that a person would become automatically evil after turning when there doesn’t really seem to be any genuine change to their personality or world view. And if Ms. Wright plans for the hunters to kill “all vampires” as she says, can’t she at least make it so that they find a cure so that they can un-vampire the good ones instead of committing blind genocide? (Don’t tell me there aren’t good ones. Don’t you dare.) I also got a bit irked with Chloe’s martial mentality and thought she could do with a bit of calming down.

Strangely, the one of the things I take issue with is also my favorite thing about this series. Jennifer Malone Wright doesn’t censor her talk of weaponry, firearms, and fighting and I think that’s a rare quality in artists these days (Texas girl here, what can I say?). The hunters do what needs doing and don’t worry about it being legal or acceptable to normal people.

I figured out the revelation in this story before it was revealed and I’m pretty proud of myself in spite of it being, well…easy to figure out. There was some sweet romance in here between Chloe and Drew and I really find myself liking Drew. Though Ms. Wright seems hell-bent on putting a love triangle in here and I think there really isn’t a need for it. At least Chloe made the right choice in this novella. (And so long as she keeps making the right choice, we’re good.)

This was a quick, easy, enjoyable read and I look forward to the next novella, Taking Talon, coming out in June. I recommend it to fans of YA urban fantasy!

I became a fan of The Vampire Hunter's Daughter after reading the first part for FREE from Amazon. It's still FREE by the way. But, I digress... okay, back to the review :) Chloe reeled me in from the beginning and she has carried me with her smack dab into Arcadia Falls!
Jennifer has done an absolutely AH-mazing job of bringing her characters life. I was able to connect with this fun band of teenagers. The story picks up where we left off in The Vampire Hunter's Daughter and takes us to Arcadia Falls. (I want to live there, btw) These installments are longer than the previous ones and with good reason. More action ensues, but now that Chloe is getting older... the Drew-Chloe love story begins to REALLY unfold! BRAVO Jennifer!! I cannot WAIT for Taking Talon!!! I recommend this series to the YA/NA crowd and EVERYONE that loves vampires/hunters :)

Is it weird that i am sweating the release of the new book?

Evr since i first read the first book of the vampire hunter's daughter, i knew i was hooked. Is it possible to be worried about the release of the new book?Whenevr that may be. I am excited yet worried at the same time. But i totally think that chloe should stick with drew for the long run instead of playing hookie between drew and his brother gavin. I mean, that is just wrong, right? Stop playing hookie chloe!!!!!
