How is your love life with your husband? Have you wandered off course without even realizing it? Do you want to take a turn on this road in your life and love your husband as you did when you were first married? Well, hang in there; this book is for you! “Love Your Husband / Love Yourself” is written in the spirit of Titus 2:3-5, which tells older women to encourage younger women to “love their husbands, love their children, and be workers at home.” Jennifer Flanders writes this book to teach women how to assess our surroundings, our relationship with our husbands and strive for our marriage to be as it was in the beginning. This book has two parts: 'Love Him Physically' and 'Love Him Unconditionally'.
In Part One, 'Love Him Physically', the author not only gives her opinion in a tender way, but backs it up with scripture about how God intended couples to enjoy sex in their marriage. And many will be surprised at the scientific references the author brings out about a healthy sex life. Could it really help stress and depressions and reduce risks of diseases? Well, it is worthy to read the book for yourself and to find out. In Part Two, 'Love Him Unconditionally', Jennifer gives another nine chapters of insight from her own life plus that from many godly people, and God’s Word to teach us ladies how to love our husbands like God tells us to in his word.
This is a pretty straight-forward book. The author tenderly writes her heart in this book. I appreciate that Jennifer uses her own life experiences with her husband and family as examples when she tells her story. This is a book every married woman, and every woman who will be getting married, should have. Even if you have a healthy and happy marriage, following the principles in this book can make it better. Thank you Jennifer Flanders for taking the time to write this amazing book.

A book full of chapters and ideas to support the Christian woman in her role as wife, Flanders discusses in depth the requirements based in the bible and the Christian Faith that women should follow in order to truly love and honor their husbands, creating a strong marriage based on faith and love.
While I found the information and ideas to be encouraging and helpful, I had a hard time getting through this book as I found it wordy and the chapters long and difficult to wade through. Sadly, I cannot give it more than 2.5 stars because it was a challenge for me not to put the book down and walk away from it permanently. For it to be effective for me, I need to be engaged, which I was not.
Still, I do recommend it on the basis of the information contained. While definitely written for the more traditional woman who stays home and is devoted to the house and family without other work requirements, all women can glean some bit of information that will help them love their husbands more fully and create a safe and loving marriage environment that is strong and faith based.
