Overview

When Serena awakes, after a close and unpleasant encounter with some sort of stun gun, she very quickly learns that resistance is futile and escape only a yearned for dream. She, and the other Earth women Serena meets aboard ship with her, have been captured by the Moyds, interstellar merchants ..their mission, to procure fertile wives for the men of Volarn, where their race is endangered due to the wide-spread sterility of their own women. Learning this is at least some relief to the captured women, but Serena is disgusted to realize that they are nothing in these men's eyes but baby makers. Regardless, she knows she has no choice but to face the fate that awaits her with as much dignity as she can muster.

Once they arrive on Volarn, Serena learns that her assessment has not been entirely accurate. Using their power crystals in the Tarthra Ritual, the warriors approach the women with their crystals to find the mate most suited to them..a woman to love who can love them. Serena is chosen to become King Rhamus' queen, but, just as she feels herself weakening to Rhamus' romantic, passionate nature, Rhamus' enemy, Xarath, abducts her.

Bookbug on the Web
Five Stars! LOVE'S CAPTIVE had me captivated from the very beginning. I actually snarled at my family and ignored my cat, not wanting any distractions to pull me away from the planet Volarn and its people. Combining s/f with fantasy and romance, Myra Nour has written an exciting, action-packed story. The descriptions of the alien planet, the characters, and even their "pets" are so vividly described that readers will be able to clearly picture them in their minds. The love scenes are somewhat steamy, but tastefully done. I'm definitely hooked on this series and anxiously awaiting the 2nd book, which will feature the warrior Kasha. Congratulations, Ms. Nour, you have written a keeper! (Pat Cavender for Bookbug on the Web)

Love's Captive by Myra Nour is mesmerizing. The Volarnians are desperately trying to keep their race from extinction and will go to any means to accomplish their goal. Including capturing Earth women and transporting them to their planet. Serena, enchanted by her new husband, the king, soon finds herself loving the people and trying to bring other Earth women and Volarnians under one law. Close your eyes and you'll be able to see the breath taking sunsets and hear the amazing Konkols sing their nightly songs as you read Love's Captive. A Story Only Found In Dreams. Watch for the sequels. Once you've read Love's Captive, you'll want to know what happens next.

The Huntress Book Reviews
"A heavenly read! Exciting! I did not think this one would be all that great. Females kidnapped for breeding of aliens is a well-known plot. However, Myra Nour has succeeded in creating a series to change my mind! I grew fond of several characters, I hear Princess Kasha will get her own story. I hope Jarvic does too! I shudder at the thought of what the Volarnians have as pets. In fact, I refuse to give it away. Readers, if you read Futuristic Romances or Fantasy Romances, then this one is a MUST! I highly recommend it!" (The Huntress Book Reviews)
Myshelf Reviews
As a reviewer, I must admit that I am not a big reader of science fiction/romance. However, once I started reading this book I found it delightfully entertaining. It was an easy read with good character development, just the right touch of humor and a plot that flows nicely. Brenda Weeks Myshelf Alternative Romance Reviews

Brilliant & Creatively Written! Sizzling Hot!

Wow! Several words can describe this book, Captivating, Fan-Fu@King-tastic, Excellent World Building, Mind Blowing and Orgasm Heaven, etc... Can you tell I loved this book - LOL I was hooked immediately in this fast paced Novel, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough as the scenes came alive on the pages, I literally watched each word come to life in color as if I was watching a movie. The authors world building skills is beyond brilliance as she creates a planet full of colorful majestic hues of blue, multiple moons and suns, fantasy like animal creatures that gasp our breath away with their beauty, well built and sexual native like men that make you melt just from one look, and a mystical legend of magical power gained from sacred crystals.

The characters connect beautifully and become real like with their emotions of resistance, love, jealousy, deceit, and kick ass fighting. The electrical connection between the King Rhamus and his chosen Queen Serena (Human Captive) is magnetic as their friendship grows into a love unexpected. Their sexual encounters are playful, humorous, toe curling, leg crossing, nipple straining, lip biting, hot flashing, and orgasm shattering. There is even a little lite BDSM of spanking and restraining while being pleasured in all positions fantasized about.

The story's plot builds through out the whole book with action pact drama, warring, and adaptation to the new life. The exciting chase for truth and trust is a loved ones test of sympathy, hatred and understanding that test all boundaries. In the end, the Moyds (Alien) and their chosen human mates win your heart over as they go beyond their determination to adapt and populate their world.

Overall, there is one thing that comes to mind when I think about this story and that is "Beam Me Up Scotty!" Did I tell you how much I loved this book - LOL I loved it so much I hugged it to my chest in the end as I felt all the happiness that I gained from this awesome read.

I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves romance and I truly look forward to reading the second book in the series "Heart of the Dragon."

    Excellent Read!

    Enchanting

Myra Nour's book Love's Captive is an enchanting treat for the mind as well as the spirit. Myra reaches into fantasy in a way that frees the mind without employing gore or shock. This book resides on my favorite book shelf, between MISTS OF AVALON and DAUGHTER OF THE FOREST. She is a gifted writer who entices the reader to turn page after page.

    Chari'sReview~Check this ebook out...

Love's Captive A most excellent read, and once I started it I was unable to put it down. Ms. Nour's characters came to life within the pages of this most delightful, and sexy story. Earth women abducted and taken to the Planet Volarn, a planet where most of it's female population is sterile. Serena is one of the females kidnapped, and is right away chosen by King Rhamus. I loved how the choosing was done and the interaction between her and the King throughout the story, and how in the end love really does conquer and heals all. King Rhamus is a true Alpha male, 7 feet tall, thick black hair rippling muscles and violet eyes<swoon> and a gentle heart. He knows right away that he loves Serena. Ms Nour's secondary characters, well developed, and I hope to read more about them.{SEQUEL PLEASE!!} Serena's friend Nicole is a hoot! You will love her. This is the first book that I have read from this author, but I eagerly await more from her... I rate this book a five star winner

    Gripping!

Amazing imagery! The story flows beautifully, yet is full of surprises. It was easy to imagine the fantasy world of Volarn as a vivid world, populated with well-drawn characters tangled in drama, intrigue, danger and, most importantly and improbably, romance. I couldn't put it down!

    Delicious!

Love's Captive caught my interest with this blurb 'Abducted by aliens...resistance is futile and escape impossible...Serena finds herself whisked off to a fairytale world of seven foot warriors...' But the story itself kept that interest alive and well. Love's Captive is less than politically correct, but that's part of its charm. It's also really hard to dislike the hero, Rhamus, and there's a suprisingly spiritual part near the end that had me close to tears. I highly recommend this wonderful SF Romance. I'm only happy there is a sequel planned.
