It was midsummer of 1989, probably the hottest and muggiest day of the year. That Friday afternoon most everyone in the office had taken off from work after lunch to try to beat the weekend rush-hour traffic. The air conditioners in the building, as always, were doing a less than satisfactory job. With the omnipresent heat, the humidity, the coming of the weekend and the arrival of the latest news, it was obvious that Roberta Wheeler, commonly known as 'Bobbi the mouth' was extremely anxious to get home and out of the heat to find out the facts of the latest town gossip. Unfortunately, her carpool partner was working late on a claims report that was two days overdue.

* * * *

For only a fleeting instant, I had thought of my safety when boarding the elevator on that fateful afternoon. With all good reason, I do respect the innate drive for the preservation of life; however, I have to admit, when standing next to that angelic beauty, my trepidation was fundamentally kept at bay. I remember wishing I could pause time just long enough to spend a few more minutes talking and sneaking long looks at her while taking in her sweet scent. I have to admit, I am not one of those suave kind of guys who have no difficulty identifying every perfume that wafts it's way passed, but I can definitely guarantee that whatever she was wearing, I had never experienced such an entrancing aphrodisiac in my twenty-six years of life, and it would prove to be a passage I would never forget.

When I first read Love Returns I had no idea it would turn out to be the beginning of a series. I am so happy to have made this discovery; I didn't want the first story to end. Now with new fantastic characters added I feel spoiled. With Destiny and the adorkable Bradley heating up the pages of great love and fun I feel there is no end to the treasure trove of intrigue that Michaels has in store for us in the third episode. I loved this new story. Rosemary is wonderful, a matchmaker, an aristocrat, an old soul with a loving personality fit to be your grandmother. The humorous digs between Brad and Crystal had me rolling on the floor. God, how I would love to meet this family of psychic savants. The story is cute and very entertaining. I could not stop once I picked up the book. I never realized how much, end of your seat, action would be involved in this romance story. I won't giveaway the surprise plot, but I will tell you that Crystal is phenomenal. You will need a box of tissues for this one, that's for sure. Happy tears are in abundance. As a romance fan, I recommend this beautiful story, as I will read this one a dozen more times until the next one comes out.

The best story, characters, drama, paranormal romance, and humor I have read in a long time. The banter between Bradley and Crystal is epic. For example: A few minutes later the busy waitress returned with our meals. She asked if I would need ketchup for my hashbrowns. Regaining her prowess of verbal assault, Crystal chimed in once again. "Yeah, Bradley, are you going to need a condiment for that, or are you planning on having it neutered?" "Oh, bite me, Crystal." I guess I lost my sense of humor and all restraints over my resentment, though her remark was quite clever, given any other time. "Blow me.Bradley!" retorted Crystal, leering at me like she was ready to pounce over the table. "Eat me, you bitter, self-absorbed, man-hating tyrant." Golly, if only I could have said what I really was feeling. "Say when!" Crystal bolted forward, leaning face first into my personal space. "Well.now that the oral sex is out of the way.can we attempt to eat our breakfast like civilized people?" Destiny quipped with a cute grin of satisfaction painted across her face. Though this little excerpt is without propper context or prelude, the humor, nonetheless, is amazingly clever. The romance is equally stewed when Brad and Destiny are finally left to their own. This is a must read romance that actually has a fantastic story.

This is another amazing, well written installment to a beautiful story. I had no idea this would turn out to become a trilogy. I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. I loved the first book so much I had to get Love's Eclipse of The Heart. Immediately, I fell in love with the new cast of characters. Michaels is an excellent curator to have put such an intricate story together. I just saw the Time Traveler's wife after read the book months ago. I can only hope that the Love Returns story becomes a movie as well. It would be such a huge, enjoyable movie. This series will remain on my top 10 list forever. To see such a cast of characters pictorially would be my dream come true. The chemistry between soul mates, and the love and passion this writer exemplifies is a mastery of tale and emotions. One minute you are laughing hysterically, and the next, you, the reader, are in love. And then, the author will have you crying with very happy tears. I usually don't react so emotionally, but this one got to me. I Loved Rosemary, fell in love with Bradley and DJ. Oh, would I like to meat DJ. The paranormal romance goes beyond what I had expected from the first book. This was really well thought out, a masterpiece of intricacies. I will be the first in line to get the third installment.

At the doctor's office I watched and listened to a young lady laugh herself sick while reading this book. So obviously, I had to go out and get it. Without even having read the first in the series, I rate this book as amazing. Not just funny, but poignant, deep, and exciting. I have never read anything as original or enthralling. The characters are vivid and true to life. I cried with Crystal a dozen times, and I laughed with Destiny every time. Bradley is wonderful as he is "adorkable". I really had no idea what the book was about when I ordered it. I am so glad I got it. I am ordering the first book of Love Returns today. This reincarnation/time travel story will amaze you. And you WILL fall in love with the characters.

Love's Eclipse of The Heart is a marvelous addition to the new series. Since reading Love Returns Through The Portal of Time I have been waiting for something new from K S Michaels. Even though this story does not jump around through a lot of timelines like the first, this one goes much deeper into character insights of both new and old. Also, there are quite a few more characters to add to the roster of time travelers. All in all, I was very happy with the story. It held my undivided attention throughout. And again, I found my heart soaring with Brad and Destiny. And talk about an odd couple mated as soul mates. I enjoyed the witty humor as well as the sexy romance. However, I was sad to see another character leave the scene. I look forward to see what happens in the third installment. I surely will miss Rosemary. She was an amazing little old lady with a lot of spunk. Taylor and DJ yanked on my heartstrings. If I had to sum it up with one word, I would have to say, "passionate". The story was very passionate. This one's a keeper.

Love's eclipse of the heart came as a shocking surprise to me. I read Love Returns Through The Potal Of Time when it first came out, and loved it. I couldn't see how a sequel could come of it, though. Not only has the second book become my favorite romance, it only makes the first stand out with greater credibility and conviction. The character build up was slow at first, but the end results were exceptional. You might like Brad as the protagonist, but I found myself quite fond of DJ. I hope to read more about him and Taylor in the next book. This is a great read with another happy/sad ending.

OMG, this book was freaking amazing. I read this book after hearing from my cousin that this book was the sequel to Love Returns Through The Portal Of Time, so naturally I had to pick it up. Now normally I am somewhat of a cynic about love much like our Darling Crystal, but this book made me want to believe that love could exist even for those of us who don't think it does. My favorite character is a toss up between Rose and Crystal. I love Rose because she is eccentric and all knowing, and you don't really suspect the extent of her gifts. Crystal because she is bitter but hilarious with all of her quips and jabs at Brad, she is the kind of character that can make and insult sound almost like a compliment. I can't wait to see what Michael's does with the third installment of this book.

This is the most fantastic love story I have ever read. Generally speaking, I do not rave about too many books, but this one has earned my respect. I quickly grew an attachment to each of the protagonists. This is a clever little romp through the genre of romance from Brad's POV, a very nerdy type of guy, constantly comparing his, not so suave, moves to James Bond. Destiny is his target, if only he had the nerve to talk to her. Fortunately for him, a wise old owl named Rosemary has taken him under her wing, matching the two soul mates while stuck in an old elevator. Thankfully, they survive the suspenseful crash at ground zero. After the rescue Crystal returns to the scene, bitter, tyrannical, and the epitome of a misanthrope. Crystal's festering anger is fully understood as Rosemary reveals her own true identity. There are shocking revelations at every turn in this book. The humorous wit between Brad and Crystal is wonderful. Touts of accolades are offered to this writer from me for having made me laugh so hard, appreciate the life I have, and see the humor in human nature when facing deathly fear or just the idea of uncomfortable silences. Michaels' has a fascinating way with words. The snide repartee of Crystal's "library" of insults would make this book a winner on its own, but this author has added a fantastic love story that will have you panting for weeks. This is that one book you will be grateful that you didn't pass up. Had it not been for a friend of mine, I wouldn't have known about this fabulous author. I highly recommend reading this beautiful love story.

This book was soo cool!!!! This was the 1st K S Michaels book I have read but it sure won't be the last. This author created unforgettable characters such as Rosemary the eccentric Janitor with a lot of secrets. Crystal the resident bitter, sarcastic, man hater who has been hurt more then she knows what to do with. Bradley the classic goober that you can't help but love, the amazing Destiny, and Bobbi "The Mouth." The story line is something so magical you have to read it for yourself. This is one of my favorite books in the world. I hope to see many more book from K S Michaels!!!

When I found out Love Returns Through The Portal of Time was being made into a trilogy I couldn't wait to pick up the second installment, and man am I glad I did. This book had wonderful characters and a beautiful story!! I love how he really brought Rosemary to life, the eccentric lady with much to share with her young charges. Bradley and Destiny the most unlikely couple. Bobbi "The Mouth" who never shuts up. You defintely can't forget Crystal the man-hating Tyrant. The only regret is having to wait until the end of the book for the sex scene to finally appear!!! I was so enthralled with this book I couldn't put it down, I highly, highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a fantastic read with pleanty of twist and turns for the adventurous reader!!!!

I loved the first book, but this story is the bomb. Bradley and Destiny are perfect together. The elevator scene had me going from the start. Under all that stressful panic, Bradley still managed to pull-off being the hero. All nerds unite is his claim to fame. The story is very cute. Rosemary is back. Crystal is back and bold as ever. This is definitely my favorite series. This book covers romance, revenge, paranormal savvy, and a world of possibilities. I have always taken a shine to romance, especially Nicholas Sparks books, but K S Michaels has captured my heart with real-life people and a wonderful humor. Read the book and see for yourself. I recommend this book to anyone interested in paranormal romance, humor and suspense.

Fantastic Trilogy!. Epic ideas. K S Michaels is a fascinating writer of paranormal romance. Once the trilogy was complete, I decided to purchase the first of the set. I was absolutely amazed by such detail story telling. Though others have claimed his separate timelines to be confusing, I had no trouble making the connections. I love the intricacies of the intertwined characters through each past life to present. A lot of work went into making this story, and I enjoyed every bit of the author's excitement. Sorrow is nothing short of familiar to this writer. That much is obvious. I can appreciate the point of view from a different characters from each of his books. By the time I was done reading Love Returns Through The Portal Of Time, I quickly purchased the other two.  Chrystal is back in part two. The reader was led to believe she disappeared in part one making part two that much more exciting. She is the lead protagonist with a very strong personality that I identify with. She comes back from the pit of despair with a vengeance in part two. Just as her dad had played her like a chess board, he accomplished the impossible and created a mogul of his daughter.  The story of each character is so well developed, I cant stop thinking about them. I love them all.  And I particularly loved the vengefulness where it was FAR overdue. Truly, I was captivated by this marvelous writer. This is a must read! I highly recommend this book if you like paranormal romance with action and lots of adventure. K S Michaels makes you wish we were all psychic.

I was so excited when I found this book, so far every book of K S's that I have read I loved. This book doesn't disappoint. I loved Rosemary  she seems like your everyday grandma but she is different, she knows things, and she is trying to set everyone up into the place they are supposed to be. I also thoroughly enjoyed Brad and Crystal's rhetoric, they love to hate each other. Crystal as always is a character unlike any other. Pick up this book you won't be disappointed.

There are absolutely few words to describe just how beautiful a read this is. This is one of the best books I've ever read. The storyline pulsates with life, enigmatic and memorable characters that try to survive in the harsh and bitter reality in which they live. I have to say that this is one of the best paranormal romance books I have ever read. I immediately fell in love with Bradley and his cute point of veiw. Great humor, passion, magic is abundant. This really is the most compelling story I have ever read. A rather large read I consumed in two days. Well worth my neglecting my chores. Rosemary is a wonderful character for such a powerful subject matter. Beneath the paranormal is a deeper story of conspiracy, injustice, and the power of legal revenge. Michaels has created a hugely assorted cast of characters, all orchastrated in perfect harmony. The tie-in of Brad and Destiny to Mike and Miranda's family had me in tears. And at last, Crystal is given the good news she had been waiting years to hear. I dare you to read this book and not shed a tear of satisfaction and love by the story's end. Simply a wonderful read.

this is the second installment to the most amazing love story I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The experience of love is deeply felt between characters and the reader.  The ending was sad, but feel the third of the trilogy has a surprise in wait. I highly recommend anything by K S Michaels.

This was the best romance novel ever. The reincarnation connections all seem to come together in theis second installment of the trilogy. Best series ever. I loved all the characters. Crystal is wonderfully bitter with the funniest comebacks to Bradley. I found my self giggling, lauughing out loud and crying at the end. I hope you read part three, because that is when you learn why it had to end the way that it did.

I think the best part of this story is the bitter retorts that fly from Crystal's mouth towards Bradly. I gave it a four star only because I think the book was too much money. next time I will barrow it from Nook. But the read was fantastic. I Couldn't put the book down for a second. I was so glad when the author finally came out with the third and final book. I could see that he was working on several other projects before completing the trilogy.

So many things wrong with the book. Bradley was unlikeable. Poor writing--repetitive and drawn out. I kept reading to just see how this would end. To find out it continues. No thank-you.
