    I Also Recommend:

Continues the story of Marty and Clark Davis.

Marty and Clark now love each other and soon they get the idea to have a school and begin the task. Next thing they know, they also get new additions to their family with the Larson sisters Nandry and Clare. Missie is starting to grow up and soon, Missie, Nandry and Clare go to school. Throughout the book there was some cute and sad moments, even heartwarming ones too that you can't help but smile at. In the book we're also introduced some new characters like the LaHaye family. Another great read in the Love Comes Softly series.

    enjoyable books about earlier times

This is book number two in the series that begins with Love Comes Softly by Oke, about Marty and Clark and their family. In it their daughter Missie grows up and chooses her life's partner. In book No. 3, Love's Long Journey (1982), Missie has married Willie and moves out west to homestead. In book No. 4, Love's Abiding Joy (1983), Clark and Marty are finally able to visit them and see their two little grandsons for the first time, now that the railroad has been completed. Willie proudly shows them around his successful ranch, and Missie proudly shows them the new ranch house. However, the visit is shattered by a tragic accident. How will their lives as a family be affected? We have seen the videos based on the first three or four books and enjoyed them. However, the videos are becoming increasingly unlike the plots of the books. Other than a few denominational ideas, there is nothing objectionable in the books, and many good qualities are exhibited.
