Overview

While her sisters are tall and beautiful, Celestia Montehue is the misfit in a royal family—petite, with one green and one blue eye. The only thing she has in common with her ancestors is her magical healing ability. Fearing no one will ever accept her, she vows never to marry. Meanwhile, Nicholas Le Blanc, a haunted man, was trained as a knight but his childhood has convinced him he is a bastard. He is captured while on crusade and eventually forced to kill for his freedom. An arranged marriage between the two does not bode happiness, nor does Celestia's new home—a broken-down keep haunted by the ghost of Nicholas' mother. Soon a curse is set upon them, and they must decide if their love will save them or, ultimately, doom them.

Editorial Reviews

A Romance Review
Lovers of classic medieval romances will rejoice over Traci E. Hall's newest book.
In the Library Reviews
With her gripping storyline and superb characters, Traci Hall will have you believing in Love's Magic!
Novelspot
A well-written, enjoyable story for anyone who likes their romance tinged with fantasy and the hint of the impossible.
Romantic Times BOOKreviews
Hall's take on medieval life is rich in history and deep in mystery. The flashbacks of her hero's imprisonment are dark but add much to his development, while the heroine is a gutsy young woman with spunk.
The Romance Readers Connection
A very interesting story . . . the characters were fleshed out wonderfully.
Library Journal

Commanded by a crafty baron to wed his son or risk her noble family's safety, magically gifted healer Celestia Montehue reluctantly marries the guilt-ridden, vengeance-driven returning crusader Nicholas Le Blanc and goes with him to his ancestral home, a crumbling keep near the Scottish border. Murderous attacks, local suspicion, family ghosts, old hatreds, and treachery are only a few of the obstacles plaguing this emotionally conflicted pair as they try to untangle a mystery and resolve their growing feelings for each other while keeping their original agreement for a chaste marriage and an eventual annulment. A strong, appealing heroine, several enjoyable relatives you'd like to know better, and one or two unexpected plot twists enhance this story, which, unfortunately, is overlong and occasionally lags; it would have benefited from tighter editing. Hall lives in Jupiter, FL.

In 1192, Celestia Montehue wonders if she is adopted her sisters are red hair amazons while she is a small blond. She also has two color eyes one blue and the other green. There is no trace physically that she descends from the notorious Queen Boadicea, but Celestia shares in common the ability heal.---------------- Sir Nicholas Le Blanc is a knight pledged to Baron Peregrine. While on a crusade, he and his men are assigned to protect an ancient artifact. However, they are attacked leaving all dead except Nicholas his enemies take him prisoner and torture him. He escapes but feels guilt because he killed a woman to get away.------------- Celesta who vowed to never marry and Nicholas who is too mentally disturbed to marry are forced to wed in an arranged ceremony. They travel to his dilapidated keep where his mom committed suicide and still haunts the place. As she falls in love with her agonized spouse, someone murders a maid. Celestia vows to heal her husband, help his mom move on and uncover the identity of the killer if she lives long enough.------------- This engaging medieval paranormal amateur sleuth romance is an enjoyable tale as two broken winged lead characters find healing through LOVE¿S MAGIC. Nicholas is an interesting hero, but except for his mom¿s haunting very typical of twelfth century lea males. Celestia brings the magic to the fine plot as a unique individual the oldest sister who's towered over by her younger protective siblings, she feels so different from them. Her courage makes for a wonderful story as she tries to help her mother-in-law the ghost, solve a murder, and heal her spouse all in one novel.------------- Harriet Klausner

    A pretty good read

Although it dragged a bit in places, this book was altogether an enjoyable read with good characters. If you like historical fiction with a little fantasy thrown into the mix, you will like this one.

    Exceeded expectations!

Love's Magic was a wonderful book. What started out as a arranged marriage ended as a adventure of a lifetime for the two main characters. And in between there was excitement, and heartbreak but, there was never a dull moment. So if your looking for a book to fill some down time look no further. OH! and did i mention there's a ghost in the tower?

    I highly recommmend

This book has a lot of plot twist. It has hardly any sex wich I personly like I find it (sex) gets reather teidus in other romance books ( that are this long). I feel this is a good read. I would like to know if the other sisters will have their own stories to come.
