Overview

Twenty-three year old Lily finds herself widowed and forced to live with her brother and his family, including his eight year old son William, who is nothing short of a terror. Sure she cannot go another day with his behavior, she begins to search for a new nanny and tutor for her nephew with little success. But when she happens across an advertisement in the Times that seems to be the answer to her problem, she is set on a path that will take her where she's never been before. Victorian England is a place of strict social codes, and the sensual world she enters is strictly forbidden for a woman of her social stature.

Her guide in this world is a man named Kadar, and the feelings he stirs in Lily threaten to change her forever. However, Victorian society is never far away, and her brother intends on seeing his sister remarried and settled into a home near him in Regent's Park. Lily will have to choose between Kadar, who makes her feel more alive than she ever believed she could, and Captain Mason Danvers, the gentleman who can offer her security and comfort for the rest of her life.

Editorial Reviews

The Enchanted Book - Selena Collins
I was truly impressed with Bisset’s light take on BDSM, since I find that many other authors focus only on the pain involved in BDSM, instead of the sensuality of the very erotic techniques. The love scenes were so well written that I could feel the contact that the flog made with Lily's skin, and I could taste the exotic treats Kadar fed her.

Meet the Author

For me, a book does more than just tell a story. It transports readers away from their daily lives to another place where they can be a part of something different than the common and everyday. I'm always so touched when readers tell me they felt like they were a part of the story when they read my books.

When I'm not writing, I can be found reading romance novels but often mysteries, cookbooks, and anything dealing with ancient and medieval history and European history, in general. I also love the outdoors, so I enjoy the wonderful weather Pennsylvania has to offer. I live there with my son and a herd of pets.

Delicious! Sweet, sexy and a little kinky

Gabrielle Bisset is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This second book in her Victorian era erotic trilogy is spicy and sweet, and has a heroine who though quite bold learns about submitting to love. The novella starts with Lily, a widow living with her brother's family, searching for a steadfast tutor to work with her unruly nephew. While she searches for a tutor her brother looks for her new husband since time for mourning has come and gone. Lily turns to the Agony Column in The London Times and finds a strict disciplinarian for her nephew. The tables are turned on her when she ends up learning about discipline. The story is well woven with a few twists and turns, which Bisset hints at as you move through the story. Overall, you have an erotic novel with a romantic happy ending. Can't wait for the final book in the trilogy, Masquerade!

This is my third book by the author and I have enjoyed both pervious books immensely. This book is apart of the  Erotic Trilogy Novellas set in Victorian England. The first book in the series was Vampire Dreams. The second book in the series Love's Master is different from Vampire Dreams, as it's not a Paranormal read. It's different as they are all erotic tales told in the Victorian Era. I can honestly say before  I read the author's books  I'm starting to wonder what twist will she include in her books and surely this one has a twist. I did enjoy the book butI had  a problem with the progress of the read.

Lily is widow at 23 and is  living with her brother, wife and son, William. William is a problem child and hard to control, and it is causes a strain on the household as they are not able to maintain a nanny. Lily starts to search for a new nanny and tutor for he William, while looking she came across an ad in the Times Agony Column that seems to be exactly what she is looking for. In the mist of all this her brother wants her to think about marriage again after the lost of her husband 3 years ago. He has found a suitor for her by the name of Captain Mason Danvers.

Kadar is a Dom. So he places an ad in the Times Agony Column. Lily sees the ad and thought he was a disciplinary  and tutor,  and Kara thought Lily was a submissive looking for a Dom. After getting over her shock, Lily is intrigued by this life style of BDSM and finds herself going back. Throughout their encounter Lily was always blindfold and never sees who Kadar is, she just knows that she has fallen in love with him and is torn because her brother wants her to marry Mason.

I like the book and the concept of the story.  But I felt that at beginning of the book, the progress of how things were unfolding took a bit too long. For me that tends to make it feel a little drawn out and then my interest will dwindle a little. But I understood what the author was doing with the events leading up to Kadar and Lily's meeting. Once Kadar and Lily met it went off from there and I enjoyed the rest of the read. Of course towards the end I was caught totally of guard by the twist, I truly didn't see that one coming or had an inkling that the twist would happen, because of how the author wrote each individual characters. I don't want to say too much and spoil the twist.  The author is surely moving up my list of authors books  to read A.S.A.P once their book is out. With all that said I still found the read to my liking.

I also like that towards the end the author included the recipes of what Kadar and Lily were eating or should I say what he was feeding her, also the brief history of the Times Agony Column, that was very interesting to know.
