Overview

Lizzie Medina went to London to reinvent herself. Tired of being the quiet baby sister, and in no hurry to settle into a boring existence in surburbia, she escapes from home at the first opportunity. When she settles in London for a year of post-graduate studies, Lizzie is sure she'll be able to start a whole new life. Immerse herself in the books she loves. Explore a new country. Work on her dream of writing a novel. She might even be able to find a little bit of excitement for once.

But falling unexpectedly in love with up-and-coming actor Thomas Harper causes Lizzie to re-think... everything. Just as she's convinced herself this small-town girl from the Midwest can handle this great adventure, Thomas's career suddenly explodes to superstar levels, and Lizzie finds herself forced to navigate the fame game of red carpets, catty co-stars, gossip magazines, and paparazzi. When she wished for a new life, she had no idea it would be anything like this!

Lizzie must now determine if her love-and her confidence-are strong enough to get her through the complications of dating a movie star. Even if she and Thomas are able to pull through before she has to leave London, how will she deal with the inevitability of returning to a life at home that no longer feels like her own? Will she follow her family's wishes or follow her heart? Will the Lizzie she discovered in London be strong enough to help her pursue her dreams?

I really enjoyed this book. It felt real. The characters weren't over-written, they were normal people with a great story line. It was captivating and clean. Although it is a love story, it is sex free and I appreciate that in a romance book!

It was clean and had a good plot. There are two more books but this one doesnt end in a cliffhanger. I want more of this couple. This book was worth it.

Lovestruck in London Review  Lizzie Medina has always dreamed since she was a little girl to go to London, England. Not just because she is named after the main character from Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth Bennett but she has always felt a pull from there. Fortunately she has convinced her parents to let her study abroad with her best friend Callie for a year. The only condition is that once it is over she will come back and start teaching at one of the local schools in Michigan.  After arriving in London with Callie, Lizzie is worried that London will not be as awesome as she thought it would be. However, things change when she meets Thomas at her first play that she goes to see in London things go from good to awesome. When not in class or sleeping, Lizzie tries to spend every waking moment with Thomas learning about him and London. However, things changed when he suddenly becomes more a lead actor rather than a supporting actor of the movie business. Now their relationship is thrown across TV and magazines and their romance is no longer private. Will Callie choose to remain in London to be near Thomas or will she move back to Michigan to the life she already knows.  Review- I received this book courtesy of Netgalley from the Publisher to give my honest opinion with no bias. This was the first book of Rachel’s that I have read so I do not have any books of hers to compare it to. I thought this was a great beach read or weekend book. It was easy to read and kept my attention from start to finish. I thought that she did a good job of developing the two main characters and also giving you a backstory on them with out being boring. It was a fun and easy read. I would recommend this book to readers who want a nice, easy read that will make you laugh, smile and wanting to read more of Rachel’s books.

Perfect read for a lazy day. The characters are well developed and it wasn't full of sex. That's hard to find in a romance! The story flowed well and I loved experiencing a little bit of London. I'll be buying Lovestruck in Los Angeles next with high hopes of an fun beach read!

I really enjoyed the series of books that were written on Lovestruck. I am looking forward on the one about Christmas to come out. I would recommend this for club discussions, because you could tell how you think that you would feel in that situation.

One of the most enjoyable books I have read in awhile. A "clean" romance with believable characters that were relatable to, even though they are 20+ years younger than I am, and one is an actor. Highly recommended, especially while it's free!

I enjoyd this book very much but I do have 1criticism. As a Catholic, I deeply resent the cavalier attitude toward communion. Lizzie was raisd catholic yet she lets her non-catholic boyfriend receive communion and says her family will just have to get over it. That is not acceptable and I guarantee hrr parents would not have gotten over it. Please respect our beliefs and traditions like you would any other religion. Communion is sacred to us and not to be taken lightly.

While the story might be unrealistic, I found Lizzie to be very relatable. I can understand how easy it is to be torn between your desires and your family's expectations. I could have easily lost the love of my life this way. Fortunately it all worked out for me, as it did for Lizzie.

A cute romance - The author wrote in such a way readers could "feel" they were actually there and possible new the characters. It begins where a family family has the future already planned for the young woman, Lizzie. She goes against them and wants to go to England to finish her education and obtain a masters degree. While there she and a friend go to the theater to see a play and being the bookworm she has always been does not realize the guy sitting next to her is a famous actor. They strike up a conversation and from there ...... Well, I'll let you read this story - it is funny, emotional and a very good read. Plus it is free.

Great story, great writing, just enough angst to keep it interesting.

This book was a lot of fun to read. You cannot help but want to cheer for Lizzy when she stands up to the witchy girls and sisters. Will watch for the next in the series

I just finished reading the whole series and I very much enjoyed it. The way the author brings you into the characters lives, it makes you feel like you are there. She is a very good writer and I can't wait to see what else she has in store.

I loved this book and immediately ordered the 2nd in the series. It's an easy read, but keeps your interest. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys romance. It's a heartwarming story.

The second half is better than the first but the whole book but the book as a whole hangs together really well, without wonderful, real-life characters, good plot, and real-life concerns. Just wonderful.
